Anyone use these bottles? What did you think? We are currently using Avent but both boys seem to get a lot of air and burp/spit up a ton with them. Any other bottle recommendations?
We used the Playtex ventaire and liked them a lot. You have to be sure the bottoms are completely dry before you assemble them, or they will leak. But they're really easy to clean and we liked them a lot.
We used them with Kayleigh and liked them. The only annoying thing was pulling out the rubber piece to clean them, but well, I'm just lazy. We are using the Avent bottles for Andrew right now since that's all he'll take at this point. He burps and spits up a lot no matter what though since he has some minor reflux.
Those are the kind we used and worked best for us. I wasn't a fan of all the extra pieces to take apart but they weren't hard to clean. Also we didn't realize how slow the flow was on the "slow flow" level until feedings were taking 45 minutes.

Good to know... both boys are on level 2 Avent right now. Do you think that would be medium flow with ventair?

I think we are dealing with some reflux issues too. No where near as bad as with L but still noticable. We go to the dr tomorrow and I'm planning on talking to her about it. I was hoping a bottle change would help bit who knows. Do u use the classic or new avent?

I just looked them up and it looks like the design has changed in the past 2 years (the bottle used to be thinner). So I'm not sure if the nipple has changed too. But i remember seeing a chart back then and the ventaire nipple flow was slower than most others.
We had ventair regular and ventair wide. I preferred the wide (bottle size, has nothing to do with the nipple), just as an added side note. The wide bottles were easier to get powder into for formula. But the regular (narrower bottle) size was a bit nicer for the diaper bag, since it was thinner and took up less room.

We used them based on recommendation from my aunt who is a DCP and has used just about everything. I like them. I feel like they got cleaner in the wash since the bottom comes off.

**Stuck in box**
We actually have both. We got one of the new ones as a sample and he took right to it. But we have the classics from Kayleigh (she took any bottle with no problem) so we have been using those too. I haven't actually noticed any difference between the two. Since I've been on maternity leave, he's mostly been breast fed and only gotten bottles here and there. I actually haven't noticed any difference between his gassiness/reflux between being on the breast and the bottles. Then again, it may just be our scenario.
It doesn't hurt to buy a small pack of the new Ventaire bottles to try. If it doesn't work, its not a big loss.
