Is it safe to go back to eating things like deli meat and unpasteurized cheese and smoked fish shortly after having a miscarriage? I know the main danger of listeria is harm to the baby, but I know it can make pregnant women sick, and hormone levels don't drop right away after a loss. So do I still have a weakened immune system, and should I still be avoiding these things? I'd like to go back to drinking kombucha and eating lunch meat, but I don't want to get sick on top of everything else going on right now ("everything else" being D&C recovery and now, some very painful ruptured ovarian cysts).
Sorry if this is an idiotic question and if this is the wrong place to ask. I feel like I have 10,142 trivial/random/strange questions about this whole process, none of which are important enough to bug my doctor's office with. (I also wonder if anyone else has questions that seem silly to them, and if so, if we might want to start a "silly questions" thread? Just throwing that out there.)
