My mom who had my youngest brother 12 years ago told me that she still has crazy hair loss! Not something I wanted to hear. I'm hoping that's just from her coloring her hair...
I have had legitimate temper tantrums about my hair loss. Seriously-- with the full effect: swearing, foot-stomping, slamming things around... and it's happened a couple times. I get SO. FREAKING. ANNOYED when I'm trying to lotion up LO after her bath and have to keep pulling MY OWN HAIRS off of her. Please, just... stay on my head. Come on. It can't be that hostile of an environment. I think our hairs need a pep talk.
I keep wondering the same. I thought it was slowing down, but a ton came out during yesterday's shower again! Wtf.
Any clue on when it will start to grow back???
Your hair is already growing back. It is constantly growing and falling out, it is just happening more now because your hormones are going back to normal after pregnancy and you are losing the hair that didn't come out like it normally would. I have what I refer to as a halo of tiny regrowth all around my hairline and my part. Just be as gentle on your hair as you can for a while.
I had an alarming amount of hair loss and have started taking biotin 10,000 mcg, Mynoxidrin, and moisturizing my temples with castor oil. In one month Ive seen a huge improvement, cut the hair loss in half and substantial new growth!!!! (All little grey spikes but that bitch is coming back) Thank God!! Because I was on a one way ticket to being a bald bitch
I thought mine was improving for a while but then like PP, it picked up the pace again. In fact, I'm almost certain that al the hair I've lost in the past two months is more than the amount of hair I started with. Clearly it is some kind of miracle, except bad. Also, I'm not seeing the re-growth yet- I think that'll be the worst part. RIght now, my hair is just much thinner than it used to be and it gets everywhere. When it starts re-growing and I have all these short hairs about the same length I'm going to look like a deranged chia pet.

I have a feeling I'm going to be booed out of here for this one, but am I the only one with no hair loss?? I guess I didn't really get the extra growth during pregnancy though.

Count yourself lucky! I didn't necessarily get more hair growth, I just stopped losing it so it got thicker because I wasn't gradually losing it like normal. If anything, I think I grew less hair during pregnancy, though it did definitely still grow. In fact, my only pleasant pregnancy symptom (other than no period) was that I pretty much never had to shave. I could shave my legs once a week and they'd be minimally stubbly. I loved that. I miss that.

Yeah, you know who didn't get the extra growth during pregnancy and STILL ended up with hair loss?

That's almost as bad as saying I eat cookies all day but never gain a pound. ?

No. I have no hair loss. At least no more than what I've always had. Makes me think of that song...."let's whip are hair back n' forth"

I can say that! I eat crap all day and seem to lose weight. It's very strange. I weigh less than I ever have and I was never over weight to begin with. Breastfeeding has been amazing. Before you throw rotten veggies at me, I'm told with number 2 this will all go to shit and I'll wind up an oompa loompa. Is it sad that I'm considering being OAD just for this reason?

I was always like that too and even after #2 I weigh less now than when I got pregnant. But I also got the flu and was only eating enough to survive breastfeeding.

I weigh less now than I have in years. Definitely smaller than I was after DD1. I'm living it up eating junk and not gaining while I can.
Ugh I am so jealous of those of you who aren't gaining weight! The whole 3-6 mo weight loss from bf has been a load of crap for me. We did start solids, though, so he's prob taking less milk which is probably why. I've got the hair loss and still 20 lbs to lose. Hey, maybe all this hair falling out will help me lose at least fractions of pounds???
First off, screw you guys who are actually losing weight from breastfeeding. Second, the hair loss seems to be slowing, but it's still pretty steady. Wearing it down is just asking to be covered in a layer of it.
