We have our first preschool prom today. The kids are coming with their parents after school in their fancy clothes to dance together. I'm so excited I think it'll be so much fun. The parents are kids are so excited for this afternoon!
I was up until 1 studying. Now I have a really bad headache ugh. DH was about to walk out the door for work at 6am and he got a call that there was a two hour delay so he came back to bed. He just left and now I'm going to go get DS up.
We got 4 more inches of snow and I'm pretty sure we are going to get assessed for all of the extra snow removal on top of our HOA dues this winter ...

We are having yet another snow day so DD is going to daycare & I'm staying home to clean. I hate cleaning but am hoping I can get it done quickly so I can watch tv.
I have a day packed full of meetings on opposite ends of campus and I'm priming up for a lot of cold weather walking. This week both of the top bosses are gone so I was hoping for an easy week and maybe scooting out completely on Friday but it's turned into a ridiculously busy week. Boo.

I'm on my second CR-V, waffles I love them. What year did you get?
DD and I are going on a picnic today. She's been asking, but it was super windy on Monday and I worked yesterday. It's supposed to be 70* with clear skies today, so I'm packing up lunch and a blanket and taking her to the park.
We are also going to visit my mom after DD's nap. She had hip replacement surgery a week ago, so we have been visiting every two days and bringing dinner.
I don't have too much going on right now-- due to Chinese New Year (and factory closures) a lot of my spring product is running late so I have been on the phone all week trying to track some orders and re-direct shipments. It's my least favorite part of this job.
TheEleventhHour that totally happened to us last year. This year hasn't been bad, and we're right at our average for snow, but last year we were so far above by this point and the landscapers were here all the time. We went way overbudget for snow removal alone, and our HOA dues went up at the beginning of the year to compensate. It sucks, and I feel your pain.

I'm looking into buying a Vera Bradley purse, tote, or backpack to use for myself and DD's things. I am watching several on Ebay, but don't know what style I really want. I know I don't want to spend more than $20. I got DD a little backpack for her things yesterday at Ross. It is so cute and was only $6.35. I didn't want to pay the $20 for the Skip Hop Zoo backpack even though the pocket for the sippy cup was a nice feature.

penguin129 how much stuff do you carry with you? I'm a VB hor, and have so many bags. I used the Miller Bag as my diaper bag for a long time because I had to haul so much stuff around, then I went back to the regular baby bag, then eventually switched to the Mom's Day Out bag and then went back to my cargo slings. The Cargo Sling is awesome, because you can put diapers and wipes in the back pockets, cups in the side pockets, and have plenty of room in the interior for all of your stuff and snacks etc. for your kiddo. The Mom's Day Out is roomy as well, but doesn't have quite as many little nooks and crannies like the Cargo Sling.

I had to drop MH off at work this morning so I'd have the car. We're hoping the Buick will be finished today so we can pick it up tonight after he's done at work. It drove me nuts that I was carless the last 2 days, but at least the Scion's here with me so I can run to the store if I need to get a few more things or whatever.

I'm irrationally excited to get the phone mount for my car. I ordered one last night, and I"m chomping at the bit for Amazon to ship it so I can install it and play around with the GPS on my new iPhone. At least I have Prime, so I don't have to wait quite as long.

I have to go for an off-site meeting in few minutes and I'm looking forward to it because the temps are rising here today. Goodbye 14* and hello 50*, if only for a day!
Also I tried the new tiramisu latte from Starbucks this morning and it's delicioius. It was a nice mid-week treat.

I just cleaned the lanai off. I let DD play with flour and potting soil out there and everything was covered in it. Now I have a ton of her toys to wash the dirt and flour off. I really want to get her a sandbox. We are thinking about filling her hard plastic pool from last year with sand.

Morning ladies... I'm on my 3rd cup of coffee today. Teething can blow me. LO was up from 3-7 then crashed til just now. Thank goodness DH is up early and watching her. I am doing what I can work-wise then taking a long nap.

My older sister is pissing me off. She wants to see the baby but she's soooo busy. Can't I just bring M to her house since I stay at home all day? We live about an hour apart with traffic, 35 minutes without. I get she works and has a side business but no, I am not trekking out into the world so SHE can see my baby. Ugh. And thanks for belittling me because I work from home office. No, I don't have a commute but my days are exhausting and long as anyone who works or stays home with a child. Jeez.

Stuff like that annoys the piss out of me. You're not the only one who can travel to see everyone else, FFS.
@misspeansmama I hope she doesn't catch it and she stays healthy.
Thanks! MIL actually just called me. She doesn't have bronchitis, she has the flu! DD had her flu shot, so hopefully she will be fine (but so did MIL). MIL's doctor told her to tell us to call DD's pediatrician to see if they will put her on a preventative medicine even though she doesn't have symptoms yet because she has been exposed. I just called and am waiting for the doc to call back. But the nurse didn't sound to confident in the effectiveness of the preventative med for the flu.
Oh no! That was a good idea to call the pedi and see what they can do. I'm guessing they would give her tamiflu? I've read mixed things about it as a preventative, but a lot of people seem to have luck with it, and if they still get it the symptoms are even less than what they would be with the shot, and they got better faster.
Totally anecdotal, I know, but it can't hurt to try and all that.
When I picked DD up last night from MIL's she told me that FIL went to the doctor and had bronchitis. She didn't sound to well herself either. Then this morning they called me and she got worse overnight and is going to the doctor today. I imagine she has bronchitis as well. I really hope DD doesn't get it since she obviously was exposed to it. I can't seem to find out how long it would take for her to develop symptoms though.
Soo...I am WFH today with DD. She's probably going to get to watch way too much tv today.
Hopefully DD avoids it! If it makes you feel better, I had bronchitis last November and my DD NEVER got it. And I was with her daily, of cours, and had it for 6 long crazy weeks.
