Starbuck128 That stinks. I'm struggling with MH right now. He doesn't hear a fucking thing because he's so zoned in on his TV. I can almost always tell down to the T what she is playing with and doing. Luckily, we are getting out of the dangerous things for the most part.
Now, he will forget to feed her anything of substance. Then he says "Well, I didn't know what to give her." He put her to bed with only an orange (and milk) the other night. Or "She said she didn't want anything". I keep telling him he has to just make it whether she says she wants it or not. 9 times out of 10 she wil eat it. She speaks in paragraphs now and very verbal about what she wants and will eat. She will also choose playing over sitting down to eat.
I'm in a funk with MH right now, so right now everything he does gets under my skin.
I posted on a FFFC early on that I didn't want BIL to be the Godfather of my son. I found out from the priest of our church that the Godparents have to take a class to prepare for baptism. I figured BIL wouldn't go so that would be my ticket out. Well, he went to the class this morning then texted DH about how excited he is & how awesome it's going to be...So my black heart towards BIL is slowly going away. Hopefully it'll all work out & he can start being a better person so he'll be a positive roll model.
Ohhh stop it!!!! Maybe this is exactly what he needed. Bye bye black heart
Massachusetts over here! Still crushing hard on Edelmans play last week.. I'm not a big Brady fan
I told my midwife I don't even want to know my weight, I'm pretty dense as it is. I weighed 135/140 prepregnancy but was a size 4. Big boned I like to say . Aside from then hg people I don't get why people are so fixated on weight gain
Mass here too!!.. Edelmans play last week was amazing!! I can't even! I was like "you can do that?" And your right about crushing your opponents !, so.. HOPE ALL YOU COLTS FANS ARE READY TO LOSE!!
My son didnt get why we swaddle babies. I just swaddled my 8 yr old and learned that if done tight enough you can subdue an 8 year old. It took him a lot of wiggling to get free
I was laughing to hard or I would have got video. My apologies
I haven't been able to catch up on everything in this thread yet, but I will try to catch up later. We have family visiting from out of town so I might be MIA the next few days. Hope everyone has been having a great weekend!

I woke up this morning at 3:30am and had an abnormal amount of energy. Now it's noon and I've already cleaned my entire house, gone grocery shopping, been to four other stores to buy some baby stuff and clothes for myself, and Starbucks twice. And now that energy burst is totally over and I plan to nap and not move from bed the rest of the day.
@xbreannalynn Oh hell no! That is not a general name, that is OURS.
My random:
I used to have a very good friend from middle school all the way through college. One of the things we bonded over was a love of writing and we wrote several young adult fantasy novels together (yes, I am nerdy.) Anyhow, we had these characters who we wrote about all the time. 2 of the names that DH suggested that are now on our top 10 list were names of these characters. They're not Sabriel, they're nice normal names that just aren't that popular. I wouldn't have suggested either of them because of this association but I love them both and one is our current top pick. I can't tell DH this because he would cross them both off the list. (Part of the reason this is a former friend was because she hated DH and was a total bitch to him.) Now he's suggesting one as a first name and the other as a middle name. I think I'm going to at least steer him away from that.

I am manning a table for an animal shelter in a pet store. Store is empty so I'm bored. And hungry: I'm starting to wonder what the gourmet baked dog treats would taste like..

If they are like most of the natural ones, they would probably taste like a cookie without the sugar. Most of the ingredients are probably just basics like whole wheat flour and peanut butter. I bought a doggie treat cookbook from an animal shelter fundraiser and that was pretty much all the recipes.
Gosh, me too the poor thing. I hope everything is alright.
Same. I've only posted on her thread and another one in June 15 giving T&Ps to her and GirPipley. All I look for or open on TB anymore are those who need support. I just scroll past all the names I don't recognize :/
Whoa! It isn't even noon and I have lots to catch up on.
My grandparents just brought over the crib and we finished putting it together. Now I just need a mattress and some bedding and I'm all set. Here's the naked crib. Do you guys think that I should move the crib away from the window? We are temporarily setting up in the dining room until we can get a larger space which will be in August when our lease is up. I know that you're technically not supposed to place a crib near the window because of the child reaching for blinds and whatnot but what are your thoughts? My grandmother thinks it's okay where it is for now because the baby won't really be pulling himself up until after we move but I have first time mom fears.

I'd move it from the window. They can't grab something until one day they can. Plus I'd worry about drafts (not much of an issue in May, but still. And somehow I'd be nervous to have my LO so close to the window and what appears to be a door that leads to outside.
I'm on the top floor and the door leads out to the balcony. There is absolutely no way anyway can make it up here unless they shimmy up the tree and then leap like a monkey. We're on the backside of the apartments and have woods behind us. I was worried about it too but then I thought about it some more.
We live in Houston so drafts aren't really an issue so much as the heat is. But, like I said, we back up to the woods and have a ton of shade provided by the trees. We're moving to a two bedroom in August so the little one will have its own room by then. But in the meantime, I think I will move the crib to that brown accented wall because those blinds are freaking me out.
