Surgery Time (Long, My Apologies)

Well, the time has come. Della got her call the other day and surgery is tomorrow. We are currently admitted so they can flush her system before the procedure tomorrow. It is going to be a long couple of days but she has been nothing but awesome. The only time she cried was when they put a tube up her nose to run down her throat. She definitely handled it a lot better than me. The iv didn't even faze her.

Asking for lots of prayers, mainly for me (joking of course). Della is going to do great, I just know it. Me, on the other hand, I am going to be a wreck. It has been such a whirlwind of day and I had to do it by myself because DH went into work and met us at the hospital when he was done for the day. I wasn't expecting having to be admitted by noon but we got a call this morning telling us to arrive by noon. So I literally had 1 1/2 hours to pack up Della, Jack (who is spending the night with Grandma and Grandpa) and me and DH since we are both staying overnight tonight. I am so ready to crash but I know it will be a long night.

If you can think of it, please say a little prayer for her. I know she is in goods hands but it's a 3-4 hour procedure and that makes me nervous.

2nd, hugs! I will be sending you prayers for your sweet baby. I am sure she will do great. These little ones are so resilient!

3rd, of course you get prayers too! It will be emotionally harder on you than her because as grown ups we know about surgery and worry about it. She will be just going with the flow. She won't remember any of this in a short time.

Please update us when you can! We are here for you! Hope you can get some rest tonight.

She will need to be in the hospital 3-5 days post surgery
