I am really loving Gillian Flynn right now. I read Gone Girl and am reading Dark Places right now.
I also just finished Big Little Lies. I predicted some of the plot twists but it was still a fun, fluffy read.
I also like the Outlander series a lot. I am on book 2. They are long so I have been reading them simultaneously with other things.
I've been stuck in the middle of Dragonfly in Amber for months. I liked the first Outlander book and finished in a week or so, but the beginning of the second book lost some umph for me. I'd like to push through because I hear the rest of the series is amazing, but it's a struggle right now.
I did the same thing. Started Dragonfly in Amber and got distracted with other books. Should keep reading it.

@aeroplaneoverthesea, hikingmama222 I have also heard there are books/parts of the series that are difficult to get through but that it is worth it because the series as a whole is really good! I read the first one very quickly but find myself setting the second one down a lot. I do want to stick with it though.
I love series because when I finish a book I can go onto the next book in the series.
The last series I finished was the Pink Carnation series. Humor, romance, and British Spies, historical fiction with a modern story in it as well.
I am in the middle of the Charlie Davidson series by Darynda Jones. Humor, sexy, modern, mystery, a little bit of demons/grim reaper/hell but in a slightly sexy way- hard to explain.
My favorite author is Sarah Addison Allen. Start with Garden Spells. A little slower read, mysterious magical, romantic, amazing.
I've done all the Outlander books, but the newest one. I need to get back to it, but then I think how thick it is and do other things.
