LO will be 4 months old on sunday, and she's starting to get those cute chubby "Michelin Man" thighs. I had a realization that solely because of me, (EBF) she's grown this much. Kind of like a "whoa" moment.
Also, time can slow down any moment now. It's going so fast

Way to go for EBF and chubby thighs! Everytime I look at Isaac's chubby arms and thighs, I say I did that.

Quitting coffee, and lattes. I started drinking honey and lemon water in the morning and what a difference! I also used to drink ice cold water with lemon slices so I figure I would give it a shot. I am very excited for my weekend with my little bear.
I cannot believe LO is 3 months old today. Where has the time gone?
I had a 'breakthrough' with LO this week. Normally, when ever he wakes up, he's screaming to eat. So I put him down in his chair, fix his bottle, get the Boppy, ect all while he's screaming. This week, even after he slept past his eating time he never screamed or cried or fussed all while I got everything ready. It was as if he finally trusts that I'll feed him and take care of him. I know it's such a 'small' thing but for me it felt huge.
ETA: Any House of Cards fans? It's taking every ounce of self restraint not to netflix cheat on my husband right now.
HutterFlutter I feel the same way when I look at my chubby little man, it is such a feeling of accomplishment! I also second slowing down this speeding train!
I have today off so I am enjoying all the snuggles with my little guy. I have come to the conclusion that lo is never going to get used to taking naps in his crib PNP bc whenever I am off work, evenings and weekends I want all the snuggles so I just hold him while he sleeps. I feel like I miss so much while Im working I do not want to put him down to sleep when I can snuggle him. Please Tell me this doesn't make me a bad mom, I feel like I should be helping him get used to napping without being held. He does sleep on his own in his PNP at night.
We are going on our first longer car ride tonight, only 3 hours but Im nervous bc lo is not a carseat fan. We are leaving around the time he starts to get tired so Im hoping if I feed him right before we leave he will sleep most of the way, fingers crossed anyway!
Happy birthday ninergirl52!! They say 40 is the new 25. ~~~
I don't understand how the dress could look so markedly different. I know about visual perception and all of that, but come on! To me it's white and gold.
songbirdsinging55 Why are you abandoning such a delicious beverage as coffee and lattes?
HutterFlutter I am so proud of the rolls too! But I still think of her tiny little frog legs from only three months ago
queenbee007 Ikwym with the not crying seeming like trusting! My baby did that last night! Like we always go through the same routine and she finally seemed to know what was coming!
spikesmom Good luck with your car ride! Time it just right, and you could have a perfectly pleasant drive
Holy engorgement this morning! I've been pumping every two hours at work to make up for what baby eats at the sitter's, and either breaking even or coming out only an ounce ahead. So I don't think I can reduce my schedule at all. But when I'm with her she might go 3 or even occasionally 4 hours in between feedings. And my boobs woke me up this morning. Ouchie. Am I doing it wrong?
zengal I pump every 3 hours or so at work even though lo typically still eats every 2-2.5. When I tried pumping every 2 hours I wouldn't get as much and my boobs were sore, I now get right around 18 ounces in 3 20-25 minute sessions 3 hours apart.
HutterFlutter,Time really does just seems to be flying by.
spikesmom, I totally get the while i'm not putting you down even though I have a crap ton to do while you sleep because i need my make up for all the missed snuggles of the day. On the weekends I make a point of it to have nap time with him to which it is always disturbed. So this weekend phone will be off, bedroom door will be locked with a note posted 'Disturb me and the baby and I will dismember you' and if I have to I will swattel my dog because she loves to do this cute little shake but the sound always wakes the baby.
Only 2 more week before I will be making my way to a hopefully warm Orlando and some much needed RNR with and with out the baby. I have a feeling my dads wife's family will be very hands on with little man.
After two days of trial runs to daycare, where LO only spent 5-6 hours, I am so ready to keep her home today! Her dad picked up last night and she fell asleep in the carseat until almost 8:30pm. Normally, she wakes up when we bring the carseat upstairs.
She's been asleep since 10:30pm and it's now 7. I don't even know how to process this. Plus I spent the time away from kiddo running a million or so errands and didn't get my 2 hour nap with her. I guess that's practice for me. One more day at daycare.
spikesmom - LO has trouble going for long naps in the PNP, probably because I just need to hold her for naps. She'll sleep overnight in the PNP, though.
zengal You would probably have more output each time if you pumped every 3. If I pump every 2 hours I only get an ounce-ounce and a half, If I pump every 3 hours I get an ounce and a half to two ounces. (womp womp)
We actually have a nice snow going on here in DFW (for TX). I'm making vegetable soup tonight with vetkoek (@wolkie your favorite). Where is she these days?

I'm getting so annoyed looking at that dress picture! I don't see how people could see anything but white and gold! I guess there is some scientific reason though lol
Thanks everybody for your input on pumping! I'll see what happens if I go every three hours. I've been really worried about what will happen to my supply being away from her! I got 7.5 ounces at this morning's pumping session, so I think I might be creating an oversupply issue :/
@ninergirl happy birthday! hope you have a good one HutterFlutter love chubby thighs, I'm in awe of our bodies! queenbee007 yay for being able to see that trust in action, how sweet! spikesmom in no way does snuggling your sweet LO make you a bad mom, if he's sleeping well at night I wouldn't sweat it. He probably misses you and loves it too! Good luck on your car ride songbirdsinging55 don't worry about the fffc, that thread was getting crazy!
I have been up since 2am with lo, her cold is so bad! Poor baby is coughing, her nose is super runny and she's been so fussy! I'm going to call the peds again today, I'm so worried about rsv. I think it's just a cold but she seems so uncomfortable it's awful. She seemed to do better laying on her tummy so I stayed up from 2-430 with her sleeping on my chest....I'm going to need lots of coffee to get thru the day!
I put liam in the middle of my (king size) bed and went to the bathroom to look in the mirror and brush my hair (going out for lunch) not even a full minute in the bathroom and I find him like this.... Soooo now do I attempt to move him to his PNP or crib? Or hang out up here continuing to read the fffc. Lol
