Hi, all! lia1303, what are the "rules" of the detox you're doing?
BulmaB, I can't decide if ballgown shopping sounds awesome or stressful. What's the occasion?
I need to go shopping for some new tops for myself, but I haven't made the time yet. Maybe I'll want to venture out when this snow and slush has melted from all the parking lots, and the temperature is above freezing...
mosy, it's called arbonne so it's a whole program. A meal replacement/protein shake for breakfast and lunch. Then a healthy dinner eliminating dairy, gluten, alcohol, caffeine, sugar and anything that tastes remotely good. I'm cheating because I refuse to give up coffee. I feel like shit if I don't have at least one cup. I don't use sugar and I switched to light almond milk instead of half and half so I feel like that is good enough. I have to figure out how to feel fuller though. I just drank the lunch shake and I feel like I could gnaw my own arm off.
I want to order stuff from the gap for dd but i cant make my mind up. I love all the eyelet pieces!
It must be fun dressing up a girl! Fortunately for our finances, boy stuff is fairly boring, and I don't buy much knowing that he'll grow out of it so fast.

Oh, OK. I used to know an Arbonne rep, and I remember getting a few sample packets of some detox something or other. I'm sure it's not the same thing because this was years ago, but I just found and donated the Arbonne water bottle that came with it, so it's fresh in my mind.
I think you've already health-ified your coffee, and supposedly a little coffee is healthy, so whatever.
Are there any foods that you can have during the day with your shakes? I read about a detox by Purium a little while ago, and they have "flex foods" (like an apple or an avocado) that you can have in addition to your supplements if you get hangry during the day.

Good luck; you have my support!
DHs sister started selling it which is how we (read he) got sucked into this. It says you're not supposed to snack, but if you do to eat stuff like you mentioned. Green apples, avocados things like that. I brought an apple, which I already killed. I think part of it is just adjusting to eating normal portions. I was so hungry all the time from breastfeeding that I just started eating really large portions and lots of snacks. I kept telling myself it was ok because I needed the fuel. Now I need to retrain my body to eat like a normal person.
My new sewing machine comes tomorrow. I am !!!kebxeiendkalz!!! excited for it. Also, I am pretty sure I am going to start selling the skirts I have been making for dd. Eventually, I am going to start making shorts. It is sort of terrifying, yet I am totally excited for the journey.
I just took a 20 min bath, it was marvelous to relax. Dd just woke up from her nap and is now whining. Least I had 20 minutes for me. Hope you all are doing good!
I've heard really good things about a bakery in Rutherford. Let me see if I can find the name. How far are you looking to travel?
thats not far at all
I am partial to a bakery in Bayonne called Judicke's. But that might be a bit far for a cake.
The one in Rutherford is called sweet avenue. It's a vegan shop though. Not sure if that would be up your alley. I wound up not going there for Declan's bday but it came highly recommended.

Ohhhh exciting! Good luck with your new venture. I hope you have tons of success.

Thank you! I sympathize with you and other moms who have children with allergies. It's so hard to find something all kids can eat.
Thanks. The egg one is the real pain in the ass. I rarely can order off the children's menu for him because it always seems to have egg in it somewhere. I'm really hoping he grows out of it.

When will he be retested?
The old pediatrician said at 2 years. The new pediatrician that we haven't seen yet, has a doctor on site who specializes in allergies so I am hoping that we can get a referral to see him. Someone on one of the allergy boards mentioned that their allergist does tolerance testing where they give the child small amounts of different things that contain the allergy to see where their threshold is for a reaction.
We know he had a reaction to straight eggs and to mayo. We don't really know if baked egg like in a cake would cause an issue. So if we can find that out it may make things a little less challenging.
The hardest part has been training myself to check labels before I buy stuff. I've never thought about it before so I find myself buying stuff and forgetting to check until I'm home. Then I'm stuck with stuff he can't have.
It really is. I want to go home. Andorra keep forgetting that the clock on my computer is wrong so I had a mini panic attack when I looked at it said 11:15 am
Wtf autocorrect? What is Andorra? And I is what that should say.
I put pork chops in the fridge to thaw last week, and they're still there. Oops. They're vacuum-sealed so they should be fine, but we need to eat those tonight. The next 2 nights I think we're getting carryout because we have gift cards to use, and the restaurants are on the way home from the office. I like cooking dinner in many ways, but not having to do it also sounds good to me!

Just as a random ramble, I went to happy hour after work Friday with some co-workers and actually felt like an adult. It's very very rare that I go out anymore, so I enjoyed myself. And I crushed a Wendy's grilled chicken sammie David Hasselhoff style as soon as I could.
