Anybody else have a LO who is a clingy, cranky mess?? I'm hoping it's just a Wonder Week and not our new normal. I can barely put him down, he's stopped putting himself to sleep and he's just crabby. Anyone else?"
Yes to all of the above. LO has been clingy and cranky and won't sleep during the day. He takes maybe one 40 minute nap a day now...the rest are 10-15 minute cat naps. Wonder weeks app says we have 17 days left. Hoping it gets better for you soon!

Sorry your kiddo is being a grump. It's always tough when they're like that because you wonder if something's wrong. My LO hasn't been clingy but for sure she's been a lil difficult lately but I JUST entered 5th leap so it will probably get worse... I really hope not.

We have entered the leap zone. Yesterday the little dude was so pleasant. I'm sure I'm going to regret saying that but it's true!
He went from kicking himself over and only being able to balance sitting for a second to sitting unsupported for most of the evening! In one day! Crazy little guy just loves sitting and playing with his toys and was the happiest he's been in a long time without me holding him. Yes!!!
We're doing pretty well...3 days left and it's starting to taper off. Last week was a pretty good week! However, I'm wondering if the separation anxiety thing might be starting soon...the last few days, whenever I pick LO up he clings tightly to me. This morning when I was holding him and DH kissed him goodbye before work, LO grabbed onto my arm and buried his face in my shoulder. He's been such an easygoing kid around people so far...I don't want that to change.
According to WW ap, LO might eat less. Seriously? I suppose eating less but nursing 12 times a day makes sense, right? I'm not sure how much more I can take of this was eating every 2 hours. I'm losing my mind. Mama needs sleep.
This exactly....Does this mean you are up all night too? I do not know how to change it without CIO and I'm a wimp and can't do that! I think "oh at least it is keeping my supply up" but seriously, I haven't slept longer than 4 hours in the last 6 months, lol!

Jt, you make me feel better. Thank you! Although I am sorry you are also dealing with this, its nice to hear that this might be a normal part of this leap. She was up every 2/2.5 hours last night. I keep telling myself that this is a growth spurt and she was grow out of it. It hard trying to work on no sleep though.
Yes me too, it helps to know I am not the only one going through it. DD has never been a good sleeper, even now a good night is her first stretch of sleep which ranges from 3 - 6 hours, completely unpredictable. I have no idea how I function at work, thankfully I am only in the office 3 days a week but that feels hard enough. I work from home one day and off the other so at least that helps. Did you sleep train your LO? I have yet to do any of it so maybe it is my own fault?!

We didn't do any sleep training. Until DD was about 4 months, she was sleeping 8/9 hours straight at night. Just the last 2 months, she seemed not like sleeping, which I believe was part of the 4 month sleep regression. Who knows now. She goes to sleep great just doesn't stay asleep for very long. I plan on getting some books on sleep training this week.
Yes I know, you think maybe sleep regression but now that it has been going on for 2 months, its like HUH? Mine is the same, goes down just fine but won't stay asleep long and then once that first wake up starts, it is consistently up every 2 - 2.5 (sometimes shorter) like you mentioned. Of course I try soothing and not nursing every time but that hardly ever works!
YES! I put her in her crib for the first stretch but then its co-sleep the rest of the night, might be what is contributing to the constant waking all night but I'm so exhausted and can't deal with having to get out of bed multiple times a night! Someday I will laugh about it I'm sure, haha!

We still have 16 days left add on that I think he is teething and it's an awesome combination. I feel like they are in the leaps more than they are out of them...

LO has been teething since Christmas yet they still haven't cut yet! I feel you!

What is this sleep you speak of??? I haven't slept in over a year! We are stil up at least 4 times a night. 12-1am, 3am, 4:30am, 6am and awake for the day somewhere around 8. Why won't dh's children sleep) my older kids slept through the night by 3&4 months.
18 days left in this clingy leap. Maybe next month I will be able to put him down and actually do something. Hahaha.
thelittlesrunmylife, OMG do we have the same LO? That sounds exactly like my schedule?!! LOL
Last night was awwwwful. I think the baby woke up like 6 times and he would wake up the 3yo who wouldn't sleep in her bed because it looks like she's getting a cold so she cried all night. I'm hoping for naps today but it doesn't usually happen that way.
Edited because lack of sleep makes me not read things before clicking buttons.
I feel for you both but I do not have a 3yo so can't even imagine that! UGH!
I thought LO was going in a better direction because her first stretch seemed like it might be getting longer but now it seems to be going backwards again! I guess I just need to come to the realization its not happening anytime soon! So exhausting though!!!
Not for her, she seems good to go most of the time, LOL...

+1 to everything. I can't imagine thelittlesrunmylife, having to manage 2 not sleeping. You are amazing. I hope your 3 yo gets better soon.
