I chose to think of myself as an overachiever in this case ; ). My drink of choice this afternoon was a Pinot Grigio "champagne" by Bare Foot winery. Anyone else joining me/ already ahead of me? Whatcha drinkin'?
Just getting started here. Apothic Red and the couch await while I watch the Pats game with DH. I know this isn't FF Friday, but I have to confess, we completely bailed on hanging out with the friends we were supposed to go out with tonight. Neither of us really didn't felt like heading into the city tonight (which is only 9 miles away!). It's yoga pants, wine, and couch instead. :-) But then, I guess that's every night.
MH stopped at the liquor store and picked me up a selection of craft beer tall boys. Ditched the football game at our friends' house so we could laze around and drink at home! Every night is Friday night at the Sammae household!

Totally acceptable on a Sunday. I'm just pouring my first glass of lovely, lovely moscato (another Barefoot lover!!) so you're definitely an overachiever today

Enjoy your beverages, ladies! I'm anywhere between 6-9 hours ahead of you all so I'm heading to bed. I'd definitely rather be drinking some craft beer and watching football - we don't get either of those here.
You know, I wasn't going to have any wine tonight because I'm taking my trigger shot at 9. But after watching that game I may have to reconsider. I'm so so sad now and I'm sure the drugs aren't helping my emotions.

Yay for drankin'! I was going to throw out the last glass in my bottle of red tonight (I usually don't drink other than Fri/Sat), but you all have truly inspired me So here I sit, with my lovely Sonoma County Cabernet. (Always go Sonoma reds, when given the option. Full stop.)
Totally joined you today. Started with mimosas at 1, on to the regular stuff long before 4. MH were watching football games in an outdoor Biergarten and pretending we could hang with the young undergrads. Will definitely be paying for this tomorrow!
I'm going to thoroughly enjoy my drinks for the next 3 weeks before I start IVF prep. I'm thinking I might invest in some of my favourite, pricier bottles with the hopes that it'll be 10+ months before I get to enjoy them again? Too optimistic?

Put me in the jealous camp! My ER is tomorrow and I haven't had a drink since New Year's. It is ON tomorrow night though... assuming I'm not doped up on pain meds!
Alcohol is still pretty hard to swallow right now. I was sick two weeks ago (with a norovirus like thing) and whenever I have anything alcoholic I get really bad heartburn. It's no fun. I need my wine. I have a bottle of Fenn Valley Riesling that is calling my name.

I'm so jealous! We are giving up alcohol until our wedding. If I could I would be drinking a pinot noir with you. UGGGG I hate when we go on alcohol breaks. Oh and you are for sure an overachiever lol!

Overachiever for sure! After my one bottle of wine trip yesterday we went wine tasting this morning. Been buzzer sine 11:30 am (West Coast time, so 3ish for me.) The best one I had today was Mcay rose.

nikiswimr Are you in Deutschland? If so, I am SO jealous.
murrt @sluttybigb00bz @dancerspose I'm in the Apothic fan club too. Gotta love that Costco carries it too.
It's called "day drinking" in my house. It's considered to be high class here as we are adults with the extra time to be able to put aside responsibilities and enjoy the day.
murrt that is one of my favorites! Try Red Rock Wine maker's blend (the red one). It has a picture of a stack of grey rocks and the top rock is red. If you like apothic red then I think you'd really like it too.

I may have bought a case this weekend of Apothic Red at Costco and told DH that we'd have it for company. He may have replied with something like "Suuuuurrrreeee. Whatever makes you happy hun"

So what started out as a totally civilized brunch w Mrswimr quickly degenerated into unexpected day time drunkenness. Next time we shall plan for day time drunkenness with the ketchups! (I am paying for it today!)
