The Bump Banned Me!

It was bound to happen.  I knew too much I suppose.

I was over there to help the poor people on the TTGP board who really needed info, and also to follow some people on other boards who decided to stay.  Whelps, those people are not really posting anymore so oh well.

Last night I got a warning on TB...it was because I said in a post that someone's "facts" were actually not facts and had no medical or biological fact, and you can't keep telling people its fact.  You know...like being stress will cause you to miscarry.  You just can't say shit like that.  (YES stress can do that, but its like, utter extremely holy shit stress.  Not "I got stuck in traffic" stress).

Then today, I'm banned.  10 fucking years trying to make that site a safe, better place for people, never having a single abuse point or warning, making actual friends and doing all the work of stopping trolls/spam/porn FOR FREE ON MY OWN TIME because I cared about the people there...

and I'm banned.

Fuck this shit.  I'm requesting an account deletion.  They are fucking North Korea over there in that they don't want people who know ANYTHING. 

FYI, The Bump's call-in is still on March 9.  I wasn't going to say much, but now I'll be the first on the phone.

I'm more than glad now that I requested my account deletion. It's sad really. I was a member of that site for longer than I can remember, and J12 was the first time I even tried the community boards. I loved it over there before all this shit happened.

I just can't trust them anymore. I'm actually a tad surprised you didn't delete earlier - but you're a good person and just really want to help people. And because you were genuinely helping people you got banned.

Shows how much they want reliable information on their site...

a few things:
1. I'm sorry you got banned since you were still doing good work over there.

2. I thought you were supposed to get more than one warning (I know everyone is SHOCKED they aren't following their "rules").

3. did you notice that a lot of the "new" threads are started by bump people now? so pathetic.

4. IF they ban people for what you did then the dump has become a scary place devoid of any actual help.

I've only been over there a little to lurk on June 15 (lots of crazy still there) - but I find your statements, especially the bolded extra scary.

#2 and #4 are so true... like I said it's a shit show over there.

Ha!  Honestly, no.  I stayed out of all the drama and crap.  Freshy did too.  Our job was to keep you guys safe and thats what we did.

There was a master spreadsheet of trolls and IP addresses (I think), and other "problem posters".  So yup, thats floating around somewhere too.  I didn't even bother to look at it for more than 1 sec because its none of my business.  I no longer have access to that Google doc, but I wonder if its cached somewhere.

I didn't do much with IP address, because like I said its NOMB, but for a while (if not the entire time) we could see IPs.  jfresh do you remember the specifics on that?

I am not really sure. I know I could see them if someone was reported or banned. Before the change a couple years ago mods could see IPs in private messages. I can't think of any other deep dark secrets really. Maybe tonight when I'm off work and can think harder about it.

Well that is just sad. I was a bit heartbroken when I finally deleted my account because it represented so many good years just washed away. But I don't even recognize it over there now. I'm sorry they took you for granted. I really am. It sucks to be treated that way when you put yourself out there. You deserved better.

stegasaurus I posted a gbcb with inappropriate pictures and calling out the ump for fucking up, and then posted on the deletion thread that they needed to delete all of my content asap. I was gone in less than 5 minutes
