Lo just slept for 6 hours straight & I finally wised up & went to bed at the same time he did. Needless to say it's 4:30 am & I'm not delirious at the moment.
No big weekend plans here just hoping to clean our house. I've had these lofty goals of deep cleaning/organizing our house while on leave. I can only laugh at my lack of progress.
ninergirl52, I had those same dreams. My house remains a mess. I think I massively underestimated the amount of time babies just want to be held.
I just survived 2 back to back 12 hour shifts at work-the first time I've been away from DD for more than a few hours. I'm super happy because now I get a little stretch off before I go back-for 4 12's in a row. I'm planning on lots of baby cuddles between now and then. Also, I'm excited (and nervous) because I have an interview for a position at a hospital that is less than 10 minutes away from my house on Monday.
ninergirl52, going to bed with the baby is key. we've been having a stretch of SHIT sleep - up every 2.5 hours, won't even co-sleep to stretch it out, but if I go to bed at 8pm with her? i can sleep 5 hours a night (broken up)
kaimee27, fingers crossed! a 10 minute commute sounds HEAVENLY
WFH day without a sitter. Thankfully it's Friday and I don't intend to do much work. Shhhhh.
kaimee27 congrats! These 12's (even though you know they're longer) are no joke! The days off are a life saver. Good luck with possibly getting a new job!!!
ninergirl52 yay for sleep! That's awesome! Good luck with the cleaning
pixie523 good luck on "working from home" without a sitter. I cannot imagine getting anything done!
At work today. It's Friday and I have the weekend off! Hopefully getting out of the house to do some shopping and then next week it's supposed to be MUCH better weather!
ninergirl52 Yay for sleeping with LO. Ours fell asleep after her bottle last night. I cuddled with her on the couch and MH woke me 3 hrs later to put her in the PNP. Although sleeping with baby and being EP sucks for the pump schedule, I prefer the sleep.
pixie523 WFH + no sitter = good luck. I'm going to take the WFH on Friday route when I return to work, but I will have to use daycare. My work replaces in person with endless conference calls on Friday. Can't cuddle and concentrate.
gldnbearz This is also my last day of mat leave. I can't believe it's already here. I'm really sad and just want to snuggle all day. kaimee27 good luck on your interview! ninergirl52 yay for sleep! I've also planned to have so much more done - but oh well. My closet will be organized again someday. pixie523 enjoy your day at home! Libby we are supposed to have better weather too, thank goodness!
LO woke up thrashing in her bassinet @ 3 this morning and somehow worked her legs out of her swaddle. I moved her to the bed with us and she wiggled the rest of the night. I woke up at 5 the most engorged I've ever been. My boobs were so hard. I got up and pumped 10 ounces! Where the hell did that come from? Happy Friday all!

ninergirl52- yay for rest! I had similar goals but we are luck if we get to use 2 hands to eat lol. kaimee27- whoa lady!! That's insane hours. pixie523- take it easy :-) gldnbearz- hugs and soak up all the snuggles you can today. Libby- hoping for some nice weather for you :-)
gldnbearz, oh yeah, i usually have a nursing student come when i'm wfh because real working is not possible. she's got a cold so I opted to only work during naps today instead. luckily my company is being understanding since it's the first week back.

WFH without anyone to watch the baby is almost impossible. I can mostly work on my own schedule since I'm teaching two online classes and one evening, but it is really hard to get much accomplished during the day. Grrrrrr. And by the time my H gets home, I'm wiped and I need a break. Sigh.
Independent Play - that's what I call it when I ignore the baby and put him under his swinging toys. I tell him that's what all the kids are doing these days.
Anyone else notice more leaks with Pampers size 2? M isn't too big for them, nor is he too small, but he pees out the side almost once a day. I have 1 1/2 huge boxes from Amazon or I'd try another brand. We didn't have this problem with N or size 1.

Good morning ladies!! On a pump break.....I can't wait to get home today!!!! The commute this week has been hell and pumping in this freezing cold room sucks. Never mind just being able to get in here!! We have five moms pumping, so we set up a schedule. The newest mom that came back last week is causing hell. She pumps in the am before everyone else and wanted another slot. 2-3 is open bc another mother left to be SAHM so we asked if that works for her so no one overlaps and nobody has to waste time waiting for the room to open. She says " oh I'm usually just getting back from lunch then". She uses the room at weird times for an hour each time and keeps running into everyone else's slots making us all late to get back to work. Seriously, the rest of us are using our lunch hour to pump and eating at our desks. I wonder what the hell she does that she's allowed to be away from her desk for 3hrs every day. Sorry, vent over.
I'm not getting much work done today either pixie523. But I'm having fun with show and tell my baby at work! She's such a charmer. Of course everybody loves her!
littleapplemom Sounds like a group throat punch is in order!
spiraltheory yes I've noticed more leaks in the size 2 pampers too for my daughter! She's almost out and I can't decide if maybe she needs to go up a size or try a different brand. I'm like you the smaller sizes were totally fine.
Good luck to everyone trying to WFH and ladies finishing up their maternity leave. Kind of a drive by post but I cat wait for snuggles with DD this weekend! DH has to work all weekend which sucks but he was able to spend time with her this week.

I haven't tried the regular size 2 pampers yet. Lo wears the 12 hour night time ones & those don't leak at all. I'm trying to use up all of the huggied first. They absorb well but I hate that I can smell the pee.
songbirdsinging55 how freaking cute!!! Love those pics @ninergirl Yay for sleep, I bet you feel like a new woman! kaimee27 good luck with your interview Have a great day to all the ladies finishing up maternity leave, it's so weird to go back to the 'real world'
This is my second day back at work today. Lo was all smiles when I left her at daycare so I'm hoping that was a good sign for the day. My sister is going to watch her starting at 12 so I get to see her on my lunch break :-) my sister was annoying me last night, she was telling me I needed to be giving lo 6oz bottles every 3 hours...Ya no, she doesn't get that breast fed babies don't need that much. I feel like she thinks I don't know what I'm doing with lo
spiraltheory we've got poopslosions going on over here that the Pampers can't seem to keep in. Hoping it's just a temporary phase because we also have Amazon and way too many diapers to switch.
Yay for Fri! DD wasn't feeling well last night and had major tummy issues. DH's birthday is Monday, and we have a wedding tomorrow. So tonight is supposed to be birthday date night. Hoping DD feels better so we can get some alone time.
My little chunker was 14.13 at her 4 month on Monday. Doc said she's big enough that she doesn't need her motn feedings anymore. I'm torn on wanting to not wake up for them, but also thinking if she does wake up she must need something. What are you ladies doing about this?

ninergirl52, congrats on the extra sleep. I cherish those nights. Like you, I'm only just now getting the hang of going to bed when Pips goes. I don't know why but this was always really hard for me.
kaimee27, sending good interview vibes your way. Living close to work is a major game changer.
littleapplemom, one of my biggest pet peeves is common curtacy, and the lack of it that a surprising number of people have. I'm sorry your co-worker seems to have her head up her ass. It's people like her that making employers frown on pumping in the first place. On another note though, your LO is so stinkin' cute!
songbirdsinging55, I love your pics. He looks so adorable in those glasses!!
So I was looking at our calender this morning and I realized something interesting. Pips turns 4 and 5 months old in the same month. Seriously. March 2nd was 4 months.... And March 30th is 4 weeks later, which is 5 months. That's cheating, doesn't she know that she's not allowed to be that old yet.

sadie74,We've been using the BRU store brand and they've been great, pampers swaddlers is our second go to. Luvs were the worst for poop but great for pee and huggies were the opposite. ninergirl52, No matter which brand we tried we can't get away from the pee smell. This baby is a peepee machine and now that he's sleeping through the night he's going through his pajamas. Maybe we'll try the night time ones
I'm just a complaining nut today...my SIL just texted me that she got her kids (8yo and 6yo) cell phones and sent us the numbers. Does anyone else see something wrong with kids that age will cell phones?
It's 1 pm and I haven't managed to get anything done except grocery shop. (Took nearly three hours because of traffic both ways and I spent SO MUCH MONEY and I don't even know how)
ninergirl52 I have big plans to deep clean on Sunday, I haven't been able to do anything this week except laundry. We were going to hire a cleaning lady but since I changed my work schedule to only work 1.5 days, I just can't justify the cost.
kaimee27 12 hour shifts! Enjoy those baby cuddles!
pixie523 WFH without a sitter is so hard. I pray for long naps for you. (Or lost of cuddles and just enough work being done that you don't get in trouble)
gldnbearz hope your LO does okay with the shots and you can have all the cuddles.
millm0m I always wonder how much more painful it is for you ladies with all the milks, lol. I have been super engorged and still only squeak about 3 ounces maaaaybe 3.5. Ouchie boobies
spiraltheory I don't use pampers but that sucks to have to go through so many diapers. Is one box still closed? Maybe you can return them. We use honest company diapers, they don't leak and are super cute. But I know once he sleeps consistently with 5 or more hour stretches im going to use some overnights because the honest ones are not meant for that long.
littleapplemom that lady is ridiculous and maybe a group meeting is in order. Also, yay for peas!
I have a long list of things to do, enjoy your day y'all.
zengal ya me too! She has 3 kiddos herself but she ff them and they are older so I think she just doesn't remember....I told her to absolutely not feed her that much and waste my hard earned pumped milk!
MrsAdventure I've been counting the months based on the actual date of birth. LO was born Dec 2, so she turned 3 months on March 2 and will turn 4 months on April 2.
