Girl moms: yeast infections?

If you've dealt with one can you tell me what symptoms your LO had?


Aubrey had a little drop of blood in here underwear the other day and I noticed a small cut in her girl parts. There was also a bit of discharge but yesterday morning I went to check and there was no discharge and she said it hurt the first time she peed for the day the rest of the day she was fine. I'm assuming she was scratching herself and might have cut herself that way but I only saw discharge Wednesday night so I'm not sure what to think.

For a yeast infection Riley just had a red, pimply rash that wouldn't go away with regular diaper cream. I don't remember any discharge at all with any of hers, but they were obviously more external infections than internal, if that makes sense.


I'm guessing the blood is also from the scratch too. Otherwise maybe a UTI instead of a yeast infection? Regardless, I hope she feels better!

We had a wicked diaper rash that was pimply and didn't go away with regular creams after a few days. But a scratch could explain the blood. We've had bot UTIs and yeast but I did not find discharge with either after I knew we had them. Worth just taking her in for quick treatment.

Thanks. I made an appt just to have it looked at. Tim said she was scratching herself all day yesterday and I caught her scratching today. Hopefully it's nothing. I wish the dr good luck getting a peek because she won't let me look and fights like a beast!

Our yeast infections were pimply rashes that did not go away with the regular diaper cream. The blood is probably from the scratch. Could she have been complaining that it hurt since the pee burned/stung the scratch?

Dr thought it was itchy because of irritation due to bad wiping. And the scratch was irritating her more.
