Speaking of hair, I definitely have a hair crush on mrsclark731. My hair isn't long enough, but I might need a step-by-step tutorial!
Woke up and realized I'm at the one month countdown. We're still looking for a recliner/glider, need to vacuum out the car and install the car seat base and moved the elliptical out of the nursery, and I'd like to organize some non-baby things (de-junk my closet and pantry), but we have everything we need (I think), which is reassuring.
Afternoon ladies. My husband surprised me by staying home today so he can take me to my 37 week appointment. He has this crazy idea that I'll go into labor tomorrow! I think he's full of it, but hopfully my OB will say that I've made some progress. I know my LO will make his appearance when he's ready but I'd like a little warning ahead of time. Does that make me sound crazy?

cginge -- awww shucks! That just seriously made my day (especially since I don't feel so hot lately). In my late 20's I feel like I went to a wedding every other weekend, so I perfected 'wedding hair.' Lots of teasing and a good curling iron do wonders. Practice, practice, practice
Also, if you are looking for a good recliner/glider I did tons of research and found mine at Mealy's. I wanted a recliner that glided and swiveled. Narrow down whats important to you and a worth-while feature for the $$ and the shopping will go quick!
I can't believe we have all of these babies coming! I'm getting very, very excited for everyone! It is also making it all 'real.'
I'm doing my last load of baby related items now, then packing my hospital bag. I'm also determined to get the guest room ready for my mom today. Ahhh...! I wish the nesting fairy would come visit me today
DH has today off, so I'm pretty excited. And... He bought us a new (to us) car! I am now the owner of a Toyota Sequoia. It'll definitely be interesting getting used to driving this tank around compared to my little car. But I'm so glad to have that taken care of! I was trying not to stress, but the thought of putting 2 carseats in my little car was really making me anxious. Now I have now than enough room for carseats, stroller, and groceries.
Hoping to get the crib set up this week, and I should probably start a hospital bag, and a go bag for DS. I'm very grateful to have both my mom and MIL so close to be here for DS when it's go time.
At my shower people decorated onsies with puffy paint but I am certain they weren't prewashed.
How would you wash then? It has been so long since I used puffy paint I can't remember if I should dry them or not.
Last pregnancy/baby shower they did bibs for DS1. Cold wash so the cotton doesn't shrink, then air dry so the puffy paint doesn't stick. Though eventually I did get to the point of DGAF, and just wash everything regular and mixed together with his regular clothes. Lol. They're surviving.

So happy to have the day off work. I think I'm going to upgrade my iphone today and we're going to Ikea to look at bathroom sinks. We've had two plumbers come to try and fix our leaking one and both failed. The first tried to tell us we needed to upgrade our entire house plumbing system. The second said he could fix the sink and just needed to order new parts. Never heard from him again. It's an annoying pedestal sink that neither of us like anyway.

Sorry parent brag- My kids made lunch, prepared everything for dinner tonight and our daughter said "I'm not allowed to cook dinner tomorrow. I've got it under control." Who cares is lunch is Mac-n-cheese, pbj's & chocolate milk! It's super sweet and they did it without fighting! Big deal when one of them has Autism and ADHD.
Good afternoon ladies. I'm off today and ran a few errands and feel pooped. Seems like a good time for a nap! haha.
Nothing new to add except my inlaws came to visit last night. MIL asked how I was feeling and I was like, I'm 38 weeks pregnant so I don't feel great. And she was like, whyyyyyyyyyyyy you should be feeling great. Huh? I must have missed something here. Doesn't everyone else feel uncomfortable, tired, and achy? I almost lost it. I just rolled my eyes and was like, I guess since its been 31 years you forgot what it was like to be 2 weeks before you due date.
In other random news, I think I've dropped. My belly looks way different and my shirts are fitting different/better. So weird. I feel like I got smaller overnight or something!
16 days until due date! I know as a FTM I will probably go past that but its hard to want to be prepared at all times just in case he comes early
I am prepared. I know it is more likely he will come late, but I was my mom's first and I came 2 weeks early. So, I just have everything ready just in case.
I just finished my lesson planning until May 18th! I am so excited. Now I just have to keep up with grading. Oh, and we still need a sub for me, so it is just the waiting game.
I was going to sleep in Instead I was up earlier then I normally am for work. Body, why do you do this to me on my day off???
me too, up at 4:30 wide awake & decided to wake up DH for some early morning lovin even though Im 38 weeks. Thought if I was somewhat in the mood, I should just buck up and do it bc there wont be much sexy time for awhile!
My coworker/friend threw me a surprise tiny 2nd baby shower last night with about 15 ppl, it was super low key but so so sweet of her to think of us.
DH finally put together the crib on Sat and the nursery is 80% done, ordered the dresser and need to hang a few more pics.
I'm at the office pretending to work. Yes, once again, I don't want to be here. Just need to stick it out for another couple weeks then I'll switch to work from home. At least everyone is just as slow around here today, cos the Seahawk game yesterday left everyone with Hawk-over this morning.
DH has the day off today. He's coming to pick me up for lunch in a bit

I've handed off all my tasks at work. I just need to follow up with a project (aka harass some people to fulfill their promises of being done with their part by Friday) and I'm done. Which is good because I need some rest and baby doesn't like to let mama sleep. I feel like I get my best sleep between 5am and 9am, but I have to be at work by 8am and I'm training my replacement.
I made a giant pot of spaghetti just to avoid the question of dinner all week. I'm ok with having the same thing every day for the next few days. If DH wants something else, that's his problem.
I'm really hoping this kiddo doesn't go beyond 41 weeks. My ILs are due in exactly 2 weeks after my due date and I need at least a week to get my act together before they're here.

I have a very cuddly furry daughter all about me today. I get that I'm not usually home but I'm thinking she is finally getting a feeling that something is up.
** wanted to put a pic but still don't know how on mobile.
No cavities, my eyesight has not gotten worse (my eyes are -11.25, very bad), Potbelly's lunch and paid 1.79/gallon for gas. Then off to BBB to get the rest of the registry. I'd say this has been a pretty productive day off.
Are you getting that number by adding your eyes together?
Didn't she delete some of those on purpose? Did they undelete them? Especially the one about her changing her screen name? If they undeleted them after she specifically deleted them, I'd be pissed.

For lunch today I made chicken salad. I started to boil a bunch of eggs for it until I realized I didn't have celery and used apples and walnuts instead. Long story short, I just sat down and ate 7 (so really 14) deviled eggs with a Cherry Dr. Pepper. Whoops
Well I feel super accomplished and effing tired. I bought the last things needed before he arrives, had the car seat bases installed (actually shocked how easy the chicco key fit latch system was, I thought I must have missed a step!), took the dogs to the vet for their yearly and vaccinations, and filed my STD claim! So whenever Oliver wants to come we are ready (in theory)
I went to lay down and rest my eyes for a few minutes about 4 hours ago- and just woke up! Woah. This baby has 100% dropped- he's pretty much been in my ribs from what feels like day 1. It's strange for him to feel so much lower now.
misshart00 So weird! I wonder if they're unbanning everyone? I'm sure they won't make any sort of coherent announcement about it though.
