Dh gets today off lucky dude. Not me. In fact I'm going in early to rack in some hours.
How are you all sleeping or not sleeping these days? I'm so tired but every position hurts. I know many of you are much further along than I. Last night i tried the snoogle, plus a pillow on top of that to prop my hips up more (one of the things that hurt the most) plus body pillow. It's quite the set up. I did sleep 6 hours straight so i guess it kinda worked? I guess it just comes with the territory of being 30 weeks that you're going to be sore all the time. I wasn't like this til 34 though with R.
Hoping for a quiet day to get lots of crap done at the office. Half our clients don't have session while the other half our insurance funded and take no holiday. Ever. Also hoping traffic is at least lighter for me.
I'm exhausted but what's new? I toss and turn all night and cannot stay asleep. It doesn't help that H snores...he's come thisclose to being suffocated with his own pillow.
DD has her Family Gym class in a couple hours at the YMCA, which she freakin' loves, I literally have to drag her out when it's over. I really just want to veg in my chair with the heated blanket on and do nothing but it's good for her to go run around and let off some energy as well as socialize with other kids, which she doesn't get to do often.
And I'm so anxious about getting LO's nursery ready but I won't be able to until beginning of March. Long story short, we are renting my grandmother's house from her (she moved out of state suddenly for work and left her house) and the room LO will go in is full of her things that she won't let us pack up and put away because she wants to do it personally but can't get the time from work until first week in March. She's nutty and all worried about us getting rid of her things. I'm pissed, LO's furniture is in pieces in the boxes and what will be his room is a disaster. It's a really good thing we have cheap rent or I wouldn't be so patient.

We both have the day off today. We have tree people coming to cut down a big ass dying tree which is going to be hella expensive but we need to have it done.
I am not sleeping great (and haven't been for a month or two now). I have a mini snoogle pillow that I've been sleeping with for a few weeks and I like it, it just takes me a little longer to get it situated and when I want to flip from one side to the other. I get up at least twice a night to pee so I'm not getting very long stretches of sleep which makes me feel super exhausted by the end of the work week.
Our photographer yesterday, I have followed her Facebook page for awhile and I saw her post once on our local bump board when she first got pregnant because she had a siggy pic of herself. She has an M14 baby girl, got pregnant on her honeymoon and she is already a single mom! She said almost immediately after she got pregnant, her then-husband said things were moving too fast for him and he wasn't ready for all of it! How insane is that! I felt so bad for her. She is sweet, nice, smart, and talented. She said they never even moved in together, which is crazy to me that they got married without living together. I don't think they dated very long before they got engaged either though. Anyways, that just blew my mind to hear her tell that story. She is going to take our newborn photos too and I'm looking forward to chatting with her again about our March babies!

We are having a BOY!
Yes; add me to the group not sleeping well these days. But that has been par for the course since third tri started. Just finding a comfortable position takes ages at times and of course, every time I wake up I need to pee.
katydid2015 Aw, that story is heartbreaking to me. And I agree that it's interesting to hear about those whirlwind romances. My parents were engaged to be married after a mere two weeks of knowing one another. It blows my mind.
Hello, ladies. I am not sleeping well but it's due to insomnia and not really physical discomfort. I had insomnia before, though, so it's not new for me except now I lie there wishing I could be doing more in the nursery (which we don't have since we're moving a couple of weeks after he's born), or painting his room (which we can't do because we're moving.....) or something. It's frustrating. There are only so many times I can clean our one apartment bathroom.......I'm a cleaner when I can't sleep but there's not much to clean in a 700 square foot apartment.

2 more things
1. The dishwasher at work i think attacked me and all of a sudden i noticed the back of my jeans was wet and i had a mini did my water break moment.
2. Just got coffee and the guy was like oh you're not allowed to have caffiene anymore right? I must have given him the death glare look of i have a job and a 2 year old give me the caffiene.

So this weekend I bought myself one of the at-home gel nail kits and hid in the bathroom for like 2 hours. I showered, washed my hair, shaved (mostly by feel lol), did my eyebrows (which were threatening to take over my entire face) AND did my nails. I think DH was worried I had gotten lost. ***It. Was. Glorious.***
Happy Monday everyone! So sorry to those not sleeping. I'm in your club. Wish we could all get out. On the bright side, pretty soon at least when we aren't sleeping we'll have babies on our boobs (or on bottles!) as a reward.

Today my H is off, and I'm going to try to convince him to take DD out to play and bring up our kid clothes space bags from the basement so I can sort and purge through it. I have an appointment in the middle of her nap time, so I'm kind of excited to get out of the hkuse, by myself, in nice weather to boot.
I'm sleeping with a body pillow but I wake up frequently to reposition or go to the bathroom. I just wish humans were animals who hibernate lately! Ha.

I'm not sleeping well at all. My mind races all night long, and I've been getting terrible charlie horses that won't go away unless I walk them off.
I'm working today, even though it's a paid holiday for my office, to bank a day for my leave. So far, I've written out a to-do list and researched a salon where I can get a mani pedi over lunch.
Hi everyone. I'm just anxiously awaiting my mfm spots at the end of the week. I got a wedge pillow for my reflux and it's been glorious. I can sleep in my back some too which is awesome. I actually put my snoogle away. Granted measuring small probably is part of the reason I'm still sleeping.
I'm trapped under dd right now since she fell asleep on me. I could move her but she has another tooth coming in so I don't really want to risk waking her up.
Otherwise I don't have much going on. Just cleaning, since I've gotten all the baby clothes washed and hung up.

I am with all of you not sleeping well, though last night I went to bed early and hadn't woken up once but my husband, who is on call this week, got a non-emergency call at 4am! We were both pissed. I was up for at least an hour after that
I have today off and M works. I was going to get stuff done but now I'm not feeling well. Time to vegetate on the couch i guess.

If anyone is around, ttm about the difference between a regular mani and a gel mani. I have never done gel because it's more expensive. But, is it worth it? Does it last longer? Is it possible to remove the polish at home if it chips?

thenetwork i have never done gel but my coworkers swear by it. They all say it lasts min. 2 weeks. I do want to try it. They say you can remove at home but it is more difficult then reg polish.

A gel mani is a nail extension like acrylics you get put on over your own nails. It goes on in layers and forms a hard coating over your natural nail.
Gel polishes are nail polishes/colors made from the same stuff as gels. It's not the same as getting gel nail extensions, more like just a different type of polish. They don't chip as easily and last a really long time. Removing it is sort of a pain, you can't just use regular polish remover.

Does the gel damage your nails in any way? I'm leaning towards getting a normal mani, but I hate how quickly they chip.

I have never had a gel manicure but get gel pedicures because I'm hard on my feet. The gel polish doesn't damage your nails unless you try to peel it off. You have to take it off the right way. It lasts for weeks and doesn't chip. I much prefer it. I have acrylics on my fingers because again, I am way too hard on my hands to keep even a gel manicure looking nice but a very good set of acrylics will last me a couple of weeks.

The removal process is a little harsh on the nail like with acrylics removal. If you go to a reputable place and give your nails some time to breathe after removal you should be fine though.
Coming back in for a second random today! Tonight H and I officially decided on a nursery theme for baby boy...Super Mario Brothers! I'm pretty dang excited, I've already added wall decals and a couple themed pillows to my cart on Amazon and have a couple DIY projects in mind! It feels good to have finally made a decision on something, though we won't be able to put it together for another 6 weeks or so.
Sleep is nonexistent. I'm terribly uncomfortable. I have my body pillow between my legs and usually a pillow behind my back. Well that pillow ended up under my left hip last night since it hurt so much and then up on top of my regular pillow since I'm sick again. Of course it doesn't help when you're up over and over again to pee. Or it seems like I don't have to go until I've done the whole dance to roll over and move all my pillows and then my body tells me get up. And of course I have a cold which also keeps me up at night. I'm so sick of winter.

jcar oh man. I'm sorry you're sick again mama. We'll probably have to stick to email when we go into labor consdering the state of tb, no? Fx that's not for a while more though. All these babies being born early make me realize i am not ready! Are you packed? Baby clothes washed?

Had to work today and it was back-to-back craziness - go figure! I'm part of the not sleeping/bad sleeping club too, although I did finally get a snoogle over the weekend and it helped a lot with my back/hip pain. The main issue? If I have to get up in the middle of the night it's like being trapped. H enjoys laughing at me.
thenetwork I've been getting gel manicures for 3 or 4 months now and I lurrrv them. I can stretch it to last 3 weeks or so. I don't usually do manis because I'm really hard on my hands, so I figured I'd splurge and do them a few times later in the pregnancy . I can't do regular manis because I get all OCD about the chipping. Hope you had a nice, pampering lunch break!
H is currently working on the flooring upstairs, and I've just undone my entire workout by eating everything in the house waiting for him. I could probably skip dinner at this point...

Is a gel manicure like the shelack nail polish? I love that shit!
My anniversary is the 9th and I think we are just going to dinner out on valentine's to celebrate both. I'm going to talk DH into getting my hair and nails done. I will be 37 weeks, so just about perfect and it can all last me before the baby gets here.
Add me to the sleeping shitty club. It's just not fun and I can't get comfy no matter what I try. I am also up every 4 hours or so. Blah.
Today I got the play room cleaned and organized. DD hasn't really had to pair down much before because it had always been just her. Now with the boy and soon to be girl she is having to share her space. Plus, she turns 10 on Wednesday and some of the babies toys needed to go. I feel soo much better getting that done.
DS moves to a toddler bed in Feb. Even though he is on the 30% for height he is about to throw himself over the edge of the pnp. For 4 months he will have to share a room with his sister. I think they will both enjoy it.

I went for it! The hardest part was choosing a color, knowing it might actually last more than a few days. I'm glad it was a relatively easy day since this weeks' schedule is booked.
+1 for the shitty sleepers. My neck has been killing me these last couple days and my hips aren't much better. I was lounging on the couch the other day (because sitting up sucks) and pressed on my rib cage and felt something pop back in, so that was nice. I'm really hoping I can fall asleep before 2am tonight. I haven't spent much time on my nails, just a quick moisturizing clear coat most weeks. I really need to get my hair chopped before baby gets here! I think im going to try a new salon tomorrow and see if they have any cancelations, since DH is off. I hope we all can get some sleep soon!
