I have DD starting at a new OT next week that was recommended by someone in my group therapy (Skill building group for adults with ADHD, her son is autistic and she was helping me navigate our local resources) and I am bringing her evaluation from the last place (last June) but I asked them to reevaluate her if possible. The original OT never explained her diagnosis to me, developed a sensory diet, or really challenged her during OT. Our big goal was to work on transitioning and they never made her transition! If she just wanted to color the whole time, they let her. The whole experience left me with such a bad taste in my mouth that I just don't trust the old OTs opinion.
We also will be seeing a child psychologist starting on the 23rd. I just read her biography on their website and she sounds very experienced and awesome, I'm really optimistic about it.
Ds2 just had his 2 year well child check up.....we are now headed to audiology for a routine hearing check and we have (finally) an appointment with the ENT scheduled for shortly after the hearing check. ENT appt is to investigate ds2's snoring and mouth breathing plus restless sleep. I have asked his primary pediatrician for the referral multiple times now in the past 2 years but he didn't feel it was necessary. We saw our back-up pediatrician for the 2 year check up since primary was not available. If the primary pediatrician continues to disregard my concerns and routine to kids with DS tests (like thyroid checks) I'm seriously considering making the backup pediatrician the primary one.

pipsqueak I would switch as well in that situation! One of my favorite things about my pediatrician is that she takes my concerns seriously. She gives me the possible paths it could go down but she supports my decisions (I've never asked for anything crazy).
Results from the audiologist are that ds2's ears are filled with enough fluid that his ear drums barely move.....and he didn't respond to quieter sounds.....so now we are off to see the ENT for another reason. I felt relieved that I wasn't imagining the lack of response.
I forgot we also had an appointment with the person that does ds2's orthodics and his PT. Confirmed that it is time to replace the ones ds2 currently wears as he has outgrown them. Mentioned the audiology results to the PT at that appt and she brought up the impact of the ear fluid on ds2's balance - something I hadn't considered - and so we are hoping that the fluid is the factor that has been preventing ds2 from standing independently. He's been so close to standing independently since Christmas but just hasn't been able to do so yet. ENT appt is early next week.
