I remember National Geographic ran a contest to go on a 2 week Antarctic photo excursion. If you won, you'd get outfitted by NG and go take pictures of penguins and whatnot. I'd love to do that. I was slightly crushed when I didn't win.
I used to want to go to Eygpt to see the pyramids. But its so BSC there now, I would be too scared. So I guess my new dream vacation would be Spain, Andalusia or the Costa del Sol.
Okay so these would be different vacations depending on whether it was with LO or without her.
With her, in a few years, I'd love to take her on a Disney cruise, and then to Disney World. I'd also love for my sister to come along, and for them to go to the Harry Potter park together (I didn't read the books, but my sister did, and I think that'll be a really nice special thing the two of them will have together).
For just me and H, I would love to do a tour of Italy, or maybe a big tour of Europe. I say this should be without LO because it would be great to be able to get day-drunk and cavort around these new beautiful places without restriction.
Oh god, but I'd also love to go as a family out to the Grand Tetons like I did with my family when I was a kid. A long two-week (or more) trip, driving out there, camping some nights, staying in cabins some nights, staying in a fancy hotel one night... seeing the gorgeous scenery, going on hikes, having hot chocolate around a campfire...
OKAY GUYS I JUST WANT TO GO ON ALL THE TRIPS OKAY?
I also vote for Bora Bora. I'd bring all of you, so we could drink wine and eat cake/pie/cookies.
But for real, I'll take any luxurious beach with mixed drinks and massages. I did a study abroad in South Africa, and I'd love for my husband to go back there with me. It was such an interesting mix of culture.

It's such a shame because seeing the pyramids was by far one of the only things that has ever blown my mind. Such a neat thing to see in person and now I can't bring DH or LO back because shits out of control there.
True story, there is a Pizza Hut across the street from The Sphinx and the pyramids. I was like "huhhhhhh?"

I feel like I need some magical place with private beaches (with no one selling me shit) hiking trails (with no scary sized bugs) Pyramids (with out crazy shit happening) Breathtaking waterfalls, a jacuzzi somewhere and a fun non-commercialized amusement park without the huge crowds.
If someone knows of such a place let me know
Eta: with delicious food and drinks served of course!
Oh I love to travel! I haven't done a lot of it in the last couple of years and now with LO we're more limited at the moment but I can't wait to start traveling again! I want to take DD1 to Europe when she graduates high school, possibly just her and I. Of course, money is a huge obstacle to that but it's still 4.5 years away, so who knows! I've traveled a lot with DD1- we've been to Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and lots of places around the US. I'd like to do some of those types of trips with LO when she's older. Next fall when I'm doing BFing most likely I'd like to take both girls and DW to someplace in a Caribbean. Somewhere with great drinks, beautiful beaches, kids' activities and just the ability to relax and not think about things. In a perfect world, I'd love to book one of those open-ended around-the-world tickets and just spend a year or two going all the places. I want to go to Egypt, Morocco, Greece, Turkey, China, Tibet, India, Alaska, Belize... so many places. Assuming a perfect world with no civil wars, no money issues or time issues, etc. I also want to take the girls to Glacier National Park before it's gone.
My old coworker did that for their honeymoon and had the time of their life. She showed me some really cool pictures. They split two weeks into one part in the wild with tents and then the second part was more resort like by the beach. I was super jealous.

That sounds like the way to do it. If I ever win the lottery...
