Evening all!
After a week or two of lurking, I finally got around to joining over here. Once I saw that the Bump went bust... I figured this group might be the best bet to join. So glad to find some moms (and moms-to-be) here in Cincinnati!
A little about me... I'm 33 years old, and about to be a first-time mom in October, which means I'm experiencing all of the typical "first-time mom" feelings: excited, yet slightly panicked. And it's just first trimester.
I work in downtown Cincinnati (in marketing/communications), and my husband and I live on the east side (Anderson), but we spend a lot of time all over the city. I enjoy running/exercising, thoughtful television/movies (though a trashy show is good now and then), coffee and conversation, and craft beer... though not lately. Boy, do I miss that. :-(
I've lived here all my life, but admittedly have grown apart from many people I once knew, and don't know too many people outside of work. I'm a little shy at first, and making new friends in this city can be difficult! But to be honest, I'm hoping to be able to get to know some of you, that you'll share some wisdom with me (since it looks like many of you either have children or ones on the way), and would definitely love to do some get-togethers. It would be wonderful to know some new and interesting women in the area.
Looking forward to "meeting" you, sharing stories, learning a lot, and hopefully gaining some new friends in the process!
