1. I have always wanted to write a fiction book, but I have never been struck by anything I thought was worth writing about. I would love to create a world (a la Harry Potter or The Chronicles of Narnia) and write a whole series that took place there. I just am not sure that I have the creativity and the focus needed to pull it off.
2. A gallon of windshield wiper fluid wrapped up with a bow on it for Christmas from my father when I was 19 and had just purchased by first car. He was all about the weird practical gifts. He also wrapped up a box of trash bags for me one year. It is still unclear why.

1. If you were to write a book what would it be about? Like kh826, I've always wanted to create a fictional world. I have a huge soft spot for YA fantasy- Harry Potter and Chornicles of Narnia, like you mentioned, but also His Dark Materials, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, A Wrinkle in Time, The Chronicles of Prydain, to name a few others, ha ha.
2. What is the weirdest gift you have ever received? When I got married to my ex, his mom gave me a book called "How to Tickle His Pickle." .... There's a lot more I could say about her. Mostly, I wish I didn't have to deal with her ever ever again, but she's LO's grandmother. Anyway, maybe it wouldn't have been *so* horrible coming from someone else, but from her, yeah. Did not like.
3. Least favourite veggie? I know it's supposed to be so good for you, but I cannot get on board the kale train.
1. I'm not a writer (as you all know!), but if forced to- I would probably pick a children's book, less words to master
2. My mom is a terrible gift giver! I can't even recall the worst, but just this year for Christmas I got fuzzy fleece cookie monster pants about 4 sizes too small. I should say I live in a climate where fleece isn't really appropriate and never since i was about 5 have I expressed and interest in character clothing!
3. I hate beets- childhood trauma scars from having to force them down!
1) definitely sci if or fantasy. Life on another planet. Or possibly something to do with fairies. For some reason I've been thinking that could be fun. Probably something more appropriate for young adults or children. I've actually written some stuff but have not had the patience to get it organized or complete anything really. If I spent half the time I do on FB and this board on writing, I would probably have something done by now!
2) can't think of anything really weird. The in laws got us traveling electronic toothbrushes once.
1) I'm not a writer in any sense, but my wife has been talking about writing a bilingual baby book for the little one when it arrives, so that. 2) My grandmother always gives me a joke present for my birthday, and last year she gave me a packet of condoms. My wife and I thought it was really funny, but my in-laws were so not impressed. 3) Brussel sprouts

1. If you were to write a book what would it be about? I have always wanted to write a book, but I just don't have the ability. I've had the idea of writing a fantasy about a transgender pirate and a bisexual mermaid for a while now though.
2. What is the weirdest gift you have ever received? My dad always used to give me really odd presents as a teenager. One year he gave me a children's book and a highly sexualised flip calendar. I don't think he realised how sexual the calendar was, but it was still pretty weird.
1. I'd write about my misadventures of living in West Africa in mid 20s for 3 years. Lots of cultural faux pas, language mix-ups, and general naivete when it comes to malaria, general safety and feeding myself.
2. I'm a huge fan of receiving gifts and I consider every gift a spectacular feat of someone liking me enough to wrap stuff up-basically no gift is weird, only treasured (I never take gifts back!).
3. Celery makes me sigh and have a huge case of dread whenever I encounter it!

1. If you were to write a book what would it be about? My life for sure, because you would not believe the life I have had just by meeting me.
2. What is the weirdest gift you have ever received? hmmmm....this is a hard one... I guess for me it would be a watch that my mother in law bought me a few years ago. She knows my tastes and that I collect watches but for some reason she bought me a pink (I hate that color) watch with hearts that float around inside (eeewwwwwww). That is not my thing, it was the thought that counted but immediately when she saw my face she knew that I didn't like it. 3. Least favourite veggie? I would have to say cucumber.

1. I was really wanted to make coffee table book just weird wonderful and lovely things in the world like random photos, thoughts, quotes and pieces of art that make my heart smile. I guess that doesn't count as writing, if I actually had to write up I think that I would write up my life kind of a diary style, actually think that I've led a pretty interesting life.
2. I received a blooming onion maker. At the time I didn't even know what a blooming onion was.
3. Brussels sprouts all the way. Barf. Barf. Barf.
ETA: I just googled "I hate brussels sprouts" and found this picture and I think it's the best ever. I would like to frame it and put up my kitchen.
