What crazy things have you done post partum? My hair was driving me crazy- getting all sweaty at night, getting in the way of nursing, etc. So I watched a few you tube clips and cut it off! Probably 8-10 inches off the length. It's like an inverted bob with some haphazard layers but my hair is curly and forgiving (it hides any crookedness). Washing it afterwards felt so liberating.

Wow! Never could I ever cut my own hair. I've been growing my hair out for some time now and thinking about going short again. You're right, it is so liberating!
Can't think of anything crazy I've done out of desperation postpartum.

You're brave. I was getting antsy the week before I gave birth and almost got the fringe I've had pinned for a while. I'm glad I didn't have a chance to do it though, it'd be too maintenance right now. I'm desperate to cut a few inches off though. It is currently An inch or two longer than my boobs so it gets right in the way of BFing if it's not up at all times.

I had a scheduled induction and was due to check in at 7 am and was cutting my own bangs at 6:15 while my husband got ready. I just couldn't take how long they were, so I get the cutting urge completely! I've never tried to do my hair though...

Kudos to you! Though I've had the urge plenty of times (including now), I haven't cut my own hair since I was 14 and decided I wanted blunt bangs.
I haven't done anything really rash postpartum, aside from compulsively buying a ton of chocolate every time I go to the store. Pregnancy was a different story though. I did do a random big chop in the middle of summer, when our friend came over to cut DH's hair and I asked her to lop off about 10-11 inches without even blinking an eye. I also destroyed a few pairs of lace underwear because I'd be wearing them and in the middle of the day I'd decide they were too tight on the bottom of my bump and just rip them off.
I tried to cut my own hair once, it was a disaster! I have pretty long hair now and I've been thinking about chopping it off. It lives in a bun all day anyways.
