Thanks for the invite to start my own thread

Yesterday was officially past my usual LP, so I went over the the IPs house, and we tested.... BFP! The dads were so sweet. One I think was in shock and the other one was so overwhelmed and kept crying. I am so happy to be pregnant and excited that they are going to have a baby! My EDD is 11/22.

A little bit about what we did-- I was tracking my cycles and we did at-home insemination. Our timing wasn't perfect because they ended up being out of town during most of my fertile window, but we made it work. If any one has any questions about the details of our choice to use at-home insemination, our methods, our contract or anything, please feel free to PM me. I'd be glad to help out-- it took awhile for us to navigate everything, so I'm more than happy to talk to others who may be trying to figure it out.

That's so exciting!!

Do you get to have an early ultrasound or anything? (We worked with an RE, so we had like a zillion ultrasounds plus betas, but I know that isn't standard protocol everywhere.)

We're not planning on it. We weren't working with an RE or an OB to get KU and I don't think it's standard around here... I guess we'll find out when we pick a provider and call, ha ha! We will also most likely be using midwives at a birth center and I know they're normally less hands on.
