Hello Friends,
I am excited, so I am not going to wait til Monday to check-in, and I am going to give an update on my RE appointment from yesterday.
So, we are officially on the TTC train!
My RE gave us the green light to start an FET cycle right away.
I am currently on CD26, so my period should be starting this weekend.
The RE gave me an Rx for BCPs, and I will start taking them on CD2, and then call my RE to let her know. At that point we will schedule a saline sonogram, mock transfer, and nursing consult to get my calendar and order my meds. The protocol will be 3 weeks of BCPs, then Lupron, estrogen (unclear yet if that will be pills, patches, injections or a mix) and then progesterone.
Based on the timing of when AF starts and when I can schedule my appointment to meet with the nurse and get my calendar, FET will likely be either the last week in April or the first week in May!
I asked all my million questions and got good answers.
Of our 10 frozen embryos, we have three that are grade AA1 (which is the highest grade, and also what we transferred last time).
Our fertility center does do assisted hatching for all FETs.
We will be transferring one embryo.
I am going back in early tomorrow morning before work for some blood work, then I just wait for my period to land.
Oh, and we took William with us yesterday, and he met our RE and all the nurses. It was fantastic. The appointment was at 3:40pm yesterday and there was no one in the waiting room when we got there and they took us back right away. I was a little concerned about bringing a baby to the RE's office and being insensitive to those who are struggling, but when I called to make the appointment, the nurse really wanted us to bring him in. She said they love to meet their success stories. Anyway, he was a big ham and everyone loved him. The RE joked that we were ready for another one so soon b/c William is such a good baby. We told her she was not wrong!
I am super excited to get started!
