**Warning: AVOID if you don't want to look back**
Most of y'all might not even care but for those that do, and those that don't want to give the other place any clicks, I thought I would post a copy of this so you are aware.
6:35PM in TTC After a Loss "Last week we issued a public statement regarding recent events, and within that statement, we referenced several groups within The Bump. We excluded important groups of people including those found on the Infertility board as well as those who are unable to have children of their own, trying to conceive and who have experienced child loss. We apologize for any harm we caused.
Your participation, heart, and support within The Bump has been so beneficial to many men and women, and we recognize that fully. We are terribly sorry for not mentioning your importance to our community."

Their lack of (and desperate need for) a competent PR team is glaringly obvious. It's crazy how they make things worse every time they try to "fix" things.
pickles4prez I never saw the public statement in reference to what happened last week. Maybe someone else that is more tech savvy knows where it is. I think it's gone, though.
This is what Petra said: "There is a apology coming to the Loss and Infertility communities some time today, for the offensive omission of us by The Bump admins in their previous address to their membership base. The offensive post has already been removed.
No word yet on an overall apology for the general cock up of last week's shenanigans and this week's radio silence. Communication with the remaining mods is sporadic but still ongoing."
They took down their original statement that they are apologizing for. They also didn't apologize for the bad apples comment. It did get quoted on the BumpHQ board. Text below:
"The Bump community boards are a place for women and men to share their hopes, dreams, opinions and concerns. It's also a place to find support and advice from others who are on this incredible journey of building a family. We are grateful for the community members who have joined for the right reasons, and we publicly thank all of our members who genuinely and sincerely connect with other parents-to-be and new parents through our community. It saddens us that some people in the community have recently been exhibiting behavior that goes against our Terms of Use, such as posting pornography, using malicious profanity, and sending harassing posts. There's no room for this type of behavior on a site board that celebrates babies, the joys of parenthood and everything in between. Those in the community who were making it a negative and antagonistic environment for others , and broke the Terms of Use, are in the process of being replaced to ensure our community remains true to the tenants of its foundation.
We are aware that a few "bad apples" that were removed from the community are trying to send negative messages about our brand. In their attempts they only demonstrate why they were removed in the first place. We know that our valued members, audience, clients, partners and advertisers will recognize their misinformed and misguided behavior as meaningless. The Bump remains vigilant in maintaining the integrity of its values, and its mission to provide the best pregnancy and parenting content, tools, services and community.
We built The Bump for you. We put you first, and that means doing everything we can to ensure a supportive and welcoming community."
That is the biggest bunch of shit I have read in a few days (read the first one was almost as bad). I agree with holdingouthope they are in desperate need of a competent PR person. I know jack shit about PR and even I know that is completely wrong. What fucking idiots....

While I appreciate the mods who advocated for an apology to the loss and IF communities, the fact that it had to be requested, and that it took a week, makes it seem so forced and so fake.
