@enchanted so cute about the nose. Sorry about the in law visit. I remember some of those stories!
Age: 20 months
Milestones: S can climb up and down off the couch on her own now. She's also able to open doors with long handles. Buh-bye privacy in the bathroom!
Challenges: For some reason she does not like to hold my hand when walking and when she's absolutely had enough she will drop down on her knees...over and over and over. So I either have to carry her or chase her down. I had to do the latter at the train park over the weekend and mommy was not amused.
Funny/cute stories: Our car battery went out while DH was at work over the weekend. My parents came over so my mom could watch S and my step-dad helped me to change out the battery while DH worked. S took over my mom's phone and she was saying "Monkey. Monkey." So my mom looked up something on Google and found a cute animation which S loved. When we got back my mom was going to show me but she couldn't find it. S kept saying "Where's the monkey? Where's the monkey? Where's the monkey?" My mom was like "I'm trying! I'm trying!" It was hilarious because S just wasn't going to stop until she saw the monkey.
Oh, I just thought of a second one. At the train park I picked S up and gave her a hug. I will put my hand on the back of her head sometimes while hugging her and she did that to me and put her little head on my shoulder. It was so, so sweet.
How are you? I'm doing alright. We just had spring break and it was so wonderful. I got to go and do a bunch of things with S and she had a couple of weeks off daycare. It really was just pure bliss. It's tough coming back to work but I know we're in the home stretch. I had hoped to talk to my boss last week about the possibility of shortening my work day a little next year but he was not available so I'm going to try again this week. I need to do that pretty quick so I'm getting nervous. I don't know what I'll do if he says no.
QOTW: Does your little one show a hand preference yet? (Right- or left-handed) I'm pretty sure she's right handed. I wonder how much of this is taught because when she was younger she'd use both but I think she sees us doing it and so that's what she does.
