hashtagrainbow, how is DD feeling this afternoon? Any better?
So my resolution this year was to get myself and the house more organized. It's not going well so far. I keep browsing blogs and Pinterest in search of the perfect cleaning schedules and organization challenges, instead of actually cleaning or organizing.
This is my resolution too! I think that you need to start by stating your problem, then think of s solution. My kitchen lacked storage, and my cookbooks were upstairs so I got cubbies to put in the kitchen for storage.
Divide and conquer is my strategy too. Focusing on individual problem areas makes it less overwhelming for me.
Has tLex been around today? Wondering how she's feeling and how the contract discussion went.
DH leaves tomorrow for a work trip tomorrow so I will be on my own until the weekend. And of course it's supposed to snow tomorrow so we'll likely be stuck inside all day. Anyone have any suggestions for sensory play or anything else to do with LO, besides simply playing with his toys?
Um. I think my baby hates me? Or hates being home with me? He apparently had a fantastic day at dc. He smiled and waved his way through wegmans. And now that we're home, he's screaming and clawing at me. And DH is working late. So I'm it. Sorry LO.

goosegirl she's been uber fussy (read: pulled a handful of her hair out). She's not drinking a lot of milk, so her dad dropped off Pedialyte for her (and wine for me). She doesn't care for the Pedialyte either so we are snuggling on the couch. My poor sick girl.
Aww, poor girl FX for a better night tonight than last night!
Alright, it's sinking in that we are leaving in the MOTN for Mexico and I'm getting really anxious and sad to leave LO. I can't decide if it's better or worse that he'll be sleeping when we leave. I'm going to go finish packing soon to take my mind off trying not to cry. Gosh this sounds silly when I get to go on vacation, but being a mom makes it hard!!
This might be my last post for awhile, so, wish me luck and I'll drink lots of tequila for you all!

Dinner tip - I made a stir fry with a spicy peanut sauce on the side. The sauce was too spicy for LO so I just put a tiny dab of peanut butter in with her stir fry and she gobbled it up - even previously rejected veggies like mushrooms! Worth a shot if your LO isn't a big veggie fan.

Have so much fun, sjelwood!! I know it'll be hard being away from LO, so big (((hugs))) for that. When you get back you'll feel so refreshed and you'll have more energy to do lots of fun things with LO!! Please drink a fun drink for me!
I got $6 dinners from Wegs for me and LO. I'm enjoying mine. So far he has screamed for five minutes that I had the audacity to put veggies on his tray. Now he's eating puffs because I give up.

My baby is so cranky today. So cranky. To add to what others said LO is not a big fan of plain veggies anymore. Put any kind of sauce or seasoning though and Ir's a different story, especially if it's a little spicy. But plain veggies? On the floor now. Same with plain bread.

shellbell My LO gets bored at home I think. He is awesome in public or when we visit someone else but is pretty whiny at home, especially towards the end of the day.
shellbell, W does the same thing. I attribute it to her being tired.
megash113, I am really not as strict as I should be in regards to her eating only in her chair. I regularly give her what I call "table snacks" - aka, a handful of puffs or veggie straws dumped on the coffee table, so she can stand and snack. And then throw the snacks onto the carpet and step on them. Because that's fun too.

How strict is everyone else on the "you need to sit to eat" rule for LO? For meals, he's seated. But right now he wants to climb while eating puffs and I kind of don't have the strength to fight it. #tired
A little more now that he's walking, because I'm more afraid of him falling with food in his mouth. but yeah I was sitting on the floor earlier feeding him string cheese as he climbed on me.
Yeah I saw that a couple days ago and I'm still shaking from it.
It happened about 30 min from my house so the local news keeps telling us more and more details. My dad tried to talk with me about it and I yelled at him.
I read the headline and refused to read the story. It keeps popping up on FB in my feed and it makes me upset every time.

I cannot handle stories involving babies and children anymore. They made me sad pre-baby, but now I just have a mini panic attack when I hear about horrific things involving the wee ones.
