Ok all of you opk pee-ers... I took one this am (5am) and the line was lighter than the control, so no go, took one tonight (9pm) and it way lighter, a squinter. Shouldn't the line be getting darker?? I am so clueless- last cycle I never turned a test at all not even a faint line...
My u/s is tomorrow (cd 13) but now I'm worried I missed the surge! Oy, all the guessing sucks! I hope I didn't miss it & can just use the trigger shot!
Are you taking Clomid or similar? We were told not to test on the medicated cycle, because the RE would be monitoring the timing. But this time around we were curious and did it anyway, for science Anyhow, CAR got a positive on the OPK on CD 9, one day before the u/s, and then looking it up we learned the Clomid gives you false positives early if it's not out of your system when you take the OPK. So, you could be reading the tapering of the meds, but not gotten to your real surge yet??

Not sure about effects of medication - but some people don't have as high of a surge as others. THink of it as a bell curve, but yours could be way up high and mine could only ever peak where your starts. (this is all not 100% clear in my head, but was explained to me like this once).
That AND, I had a positive digital OPK last cycle, went to the RE's the next day for an u/s and was not near ovulating.
AND I think time of day and how hydrated you are makes a difference.
In other words I hate OPKs and I hope I'm not ruining it for you Are you going in for monitoring too?
Thanks both! I am on femara, so maybe the same issues. They still had me do the OPK's just in case, but yes, I'm getting monitored. I go this afternoon, so hopefully all is well in there...
I was just worried because last month I was doing the same thing and I never resisted anything, not even a squinter!
Oye- I hate IUI's... I wish I could just do FET's again, that was easy! At least I knew an egg and sperm had already met!
