So, I don't like driving in general. Hate it even more when I have to do it in the dark. The worst is in the dark while it rains. Well, I had to be downtown this morning for meetings, so you can imagine how joyous my drive to work was. Starting your day out all frazzled and stressed from the drive to work is never good. Ugh.
Anyways, I'm about to head inside to pump and then sit in a meeting until noon. Oh joy.
I need to be more positive. I feel like most of my posts lately are negative.
I'm nervous about my certification test today. Missing my dh and lo this week. Traveling isn't so bad... don't judge me but I get to eat warm free meals and sleep!!
But boo travel has me missing all the fun with you ladies.

Good luck with your test! No judging here. Id love to be able to enjoy some hot meals and uninterrupted sleep! I'm sorry you're missing the fam and DD. That would be so hard. I haven't had to travel for work yet and I'm dreading that part of it!
ladytiffany24 I feel ya! Driving in the dark is the worst.
mominthemaking14 GL on your test. No judgement here, I love that when I travel I come back to a clean room and the bed is actually made, it's the little things. Oh and the sleep is pretty great too ;-)
ladytiffany24 driving downtown in the AM is the worst, not even talking about the rain. I feel your pain!
DD had a massive blowout last night after getting in her pjs. All over her. She was ticked about the bath. Lol. And then lovely lil thanh peed in our bed this morning.. I'm thinking it's the diapers? We're using Huggies At the moment...
Anyone consign or shop at snooty fox? I consigned 13 items yesterday, woot! Usually they only take a couple things because they're picky about accepting only 1-2 seasons.
Blowouts suck lindsay!! Sometimes there is just no diaper that can hold in poop. But pee should be okay. Make sure you fan out the legs and get it tight enough in the front and back.
The only way I knew today was Thursday was because I knew we already had HdBD... I may need to take a PB break.
mominthemaking14 no judgement from me. I love work travel, at least for the first couple days. DS1 is sick today, and wants nothing but mommy. It's sweet, but not sure what the baby will think. I've already turned on the tv.

Traffic was the worst this morning. ~PEOPLE IT'S JUST DROPS OF WATER, YOU WERE DRIVING BETTER IN THE SNOW 3 WEEKS AGO!!!!!~
lindsay I second making sure you have the leg ruffles pulled out. I have no idea why, but those ruffles can work magic. If you're mostly having this issue at night, then try going up a size at night. I've consigned at SnootyFox a few times, but I end up donating most things.

Huggies were the worst for us. They always leaked no matter what. We stuck with Pampers Swaddlers. Now we're switching to Pampers Cruisers.
+10 for the Huggies vs. Pampers thing because we were gifted a case of Huggies and gave up on them after a couple of days. DD seemed to end up with more pee on her outfits than was in the diaper half the time. Womp womp, Huggies.
This is def random...we had an episode of Daniel tiger on last night and did a double take. Had to rewind and listen again, what do you all think he said? (Hope the video works).

Woooops. We definitely haven't been fanning out the leg parts.
I like pampers swaddlers 100x better than Huggies. They fit her better (same size in pampers still seem pretty big). Plus they smell good.
The diaper people act like it doesn't matter but I've found the more perfectly placed the tabs are and tight around their back and fanned out the legs, the less likely you are to have leaks.

Just curious - why did you decide to switch to Cruisers? I always think about it when I'm buying diapers (because they're a little cheaper, aren't they?) but I don't know what the difference is. Are they better for kids who are moving around more? More elastic-y? I also think we may get the night time ones. This kid pees so much overnight it's a miracle the diaper can hold it.

Well buying a house is a complet shit show.
Things are on hold with the lender now, even though we had the preapproval, our processor dropped the ball on documentation that we sent over and now we are getting more scrunity. If this doesn't work out I'm done looking for houses and will just suck it up and live in this shit hole.

JoBub - I think the Cruisers, Baby Dry, and the Overnight diapers all have 3 layers and Swaddlers only have 2. Once LO started peeing more it seemed like Swaddlers Sensitive weren't doing well for long periods of time. Between Cruisers & Baby Dry, the Cruisers are considered a premium diaper the same as Swaddlers (i.e. softer feeling) and are slightly more expensive than Baby Dry.
We use Cruisers during the day because of all the movement and Extra Protection overnight. Although I've had good luck with Baby Dry as well for an overnight diaper.
Highly recommend Amazon Mom - you get 20% off all diapers and it's cheaper than the store even with coupons for the Pampers.

I switched to Cruisers because when we were in Miami and I had to go get diapers, they didn't have the Swaddlers in his size, so I grabbed the Cruisers, and really liked them a lot. They seemed to feel less full and "moist" in the mornings than the Swaddlers.
I tried the Baby Dry ones months ago when he was leaking through any and every diaper at night, and just did not like them overall.
Also, +1 for Amazon Prime / Mom. I get a ton of stuff on auto - delivery, but especially diapers, wipes, diaper pail refills, etc.

+10 more for no to huggies. We are on Target brand now because I am still going through gift cards from DD's shower. They are pretty decent. And I did follow the upping the diaper size that these lovely ladies recommended to me previously. It definitely helps with blow outs. I size up 1-2 lbs before the size recommendation on the box... hence the reason my 4 month old 16+ lbs chunker is in a size 3 haha.

Re: Diapers We used just about everything when we were going through gifted diapers because a free diaper is a free diaper, is a free diaper. Huggies seemed to leak when he was a newborn. Once we started buying diapers we used Luvs. Luvs worked great until we moved up to 3's, then it seemed like they didn't hold enough pee. Now we use Huggies Little Movers with no issues
I'll have to look into Amazon. I have prime and I use the subscription service for a couple of things, but you have to have 5 (I think) to get the extra discount, and I'm having a hard time coming up with 5 things that we need regularly and are worth it. Some things (like toiletry items) seem like they're more expensive on Amazon.
Until now, I've only bought diapers like twice. Both when there were big discounts at Target and I stocked up. My rule has always been to stock up if it's less than 20 cents per diaper. But my stash is almost gone, and with the larger sizes, 20 cents/diaper doesn't seem reasonable anymore.
