What did you do this past week? Did you have a family date?
Anything you are looking forward to this week?
Challenge: If you celebrate Easter, particularly if you have any extra stressors as a result (issues related to travel, schedule/routine changes, overstimulation, being around larger groups, being in a different place, food allergies and intolerances, extra sugar, food aversions, etc or the extra effort and planning needed to be successful or whatever the case may be), make a plan to be able to relax or reduce your stress in some way. If your LO(s) require intense supervision while at festivities, take a tag-team approach if possible so you and your SO each have some time to enjoy the festivities (or tag in a grandparent, aunt/uncle, etc if needed). If overstimulation will be an issue, have an escape plan and way to implement. If warming up to a large group is a problem, try to arrive early so people trickle in and LO(s) can adjust slower. Get some extra relaxation time, go for a massage, take a nap, or something to balance out the extra effort and/or stress of the festivities, if that is something that you deal with. Get a head start on packing so you aren't rushing last minute. Most of all, ENJOY the holiday instead of having it only be a chore. If you don't celebrate Easter, or you celebrate in a way that isn't hectic, stressful, or anything, do an activity you enjoy, whether it is just you, an activity with friends, something with your family, whatever - a puzzle, a book, a game, a movie, a hobby, a hike, etc.
