So, we start swim classes with DD in 2 weeks. What kind of swim diapers is/has everyone used? What do you like? Are disposables the way to go? Has anyone tried the iplay reusable swim diapers?! Talk to me.
I have an iPlay swim diaper. Actually it's swim trunks with a built in swim diaper. It seems to work well and be easy. But, he never pooped in it. So I guess I don't know for sure.
Swim diapers (disposable or not) aren't intended to absorb anything. They just have to be snug to hold in poop. So whatever you choose, don't put the swim diaper on until just before you get in the pool, or you might get tinkled on.
Yes, what JoBub said. I bought DD an iplay suit at the place we swim at. ($34) and her's has a built in one too. I love it. Then you just toss in the washer (not supposed to dry) I heard there are some on Amazon cheaper, but I didn't have enough time to get one.
I got ours on amazon. I think it was around $20. There's not a huge selection, though. I'd say the only downside is that if you were spending a day at the pool and LO pooped, it would be nice just to toss the diaper and put a new one on. But for swim lessons, the iplay was perfect. If he had pooped, we would probably just leave early, because it was only a 30 minute lesson anyway. I did get him a pair of regular swim trunks at the consignment sale, and bought some disposables to use with those. I haven't used it yet, but I think that's what we'll do if we go to the beach on vacation.

Thanks ladies!
Does the iplay stuff run true to size? DD is in between sizes in everrrrything so I have no idea what size to buy her!

I went up a size and I'm glad I did. He's wearing 12 month clothes right now, but his swim trunks are 18 month. The elastic needs to be tight in order to contain a mess, but I think if they were any tighter, I wouldn't be able to get them on him. I think sizing is probably trickier with girls, though, since length matters.
We use the iplay diaper that's not built into a swim suit. They're super affordable, but I'd definitely size up. You just reminded me I need to order a new one for my toddler!

I got a 6month suit when my LO was 4months old, but she's a little chubby now:-) finally! And it fits perfectly. I think you'd be good doing a size bigger too. GL!
