1. What's for dinner tonight? Three cheese ravioli and a salad
2. If you had a year off what would you do? Travel
3. What was your first alcoholic drink (actual drink, not just a taste) and how did that work out? JAggermiester (not sure of the spelling) I was drunk and its the only time in my life I have ever been drunk. I don't really drink now, maybe a glass of wine a couple times a year. I am just not a fan of alcohol.

1. Chicken in a pesto cream sauce with roasted veggies.
2. Travel would be tough with DS in school but I would make time for some travel, exploring the rest of Canada. I'd also take some courses to learn something new.
3. Scotch with Gatorade. It was terrible; my puke was bright blue. My stomach just turned at the thought of it.
2. Assuming I also had money at my disposal during this year off, I would travel the world with my family. Everything from Paris, to Hawaii, to Australia, to Disney World. I would make a specific bucket list for that year that included places I wanted to go, things I wanted to do with my family, etc. I would also want to volunteer, and do some volunteer work as a family.
3. Well, I remember drinking some kind of red wine when I was 16. I think I had a glass or two. I remember feeling tipsy and feeling really hot, and my 16 year old self decided that wine gave me a fever. I was a real rebel HAHA. I didn't drink again until college. I think my first official drink was vodka and cranberry juice if I remember correctly. I CANNOT hold my alcohol. Never have been able to. 1-2 drinks and I am definitely drunk. I was drunk a handful of times in college, but since then it is just not my thing. In my adult life I will have an occasional glass of wine with dinner, but I have not since before I started TTC William, so it's been at least 2 years since my last alcoholic beverage. I don't miss it at all. Just not really my thing. I would rather have chocolate!
1. What's for dinner tonight? I think we'll have our lunches (which are leftovers from earlier in the week) for dinner tonight because manada and I just decided to meet up for lunch today.
2. If you had a year off what would you do? If we get to bring Rocky home, then I'd spend it with them. If manada also had a year off, then I might try to convince her to let us spend a bit time (more than a few days) in Chicago (maybe we'd get a sublet or something; I don't think we could make it if we had to live in my parents' house the whole time.) Also, if M had the year off, too, then I'd try to set a schedule to work on my PhD 2-3 days a week.
3. What was your first alcoholic drink (actual drink, not just a taste) and how did that work out? I don't remember. Maybe orange juice and vodka? We eventually discovered that vodka and lemonade was better but it took a while. My first legal drink (on my 21st birthday at a bar) was a vodka cranberry, I think.
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
1. Dinner tonight? We are being lazy (cooked big meals the past 5 days want something fast now) grilled cheese w/ hand cut fries
2.Year off? I would travel a lot around the US and then be home and do all of the little things I feel like I have no time for. (Finish wedding scrapbook, start a garden, paint my house year off would allow me to do my little things faster )
3. First drink? when I would drink (before 21) we didn't make drinks just sipped on a bottle of pucker when I think about it now yuck lol mixed drink a Malibu bay breeze. Let's say when I first started drinking I struggled to find my limit hahaha
Co Parenting IVF (DW Egg Me as Carrier) ET 6/7 2 perfect blasts (2 others made it to freeze) BFP 6/16 Beta #1 124 Beta #2 250 Beta#3 3026 It's A Boy!! Due: 2/22/16
1. Mikes Hard Lemonade. I can barely type it without wanting to puke. I drank it at 17/18 and never touched it again. I much prefer wine; red or white.
2. No idea. A friend texted that we should meet up for pizza. Fun for me, not sure what R would eat:/
3. Everything and nothing. Travel seems the most obvious but I'd also like to learn a new skill, train for another marathon, do projects around the house. Knowing me, I'd get bored at around 6 months and want to go back to work.
1. Not sure, having dinner with our friend & her kids tonight, still undecided.
2. I have always dreamed of taking a sabbatical! Lets assume the wife is off and money isn't a concern. I think I would want to spend 1 month just decompressing at home, then spend the next several on month long adventures in a city somewhere. Say 1 month in London, 1 month in Paris, 1 month in New York City, 1 month in the woods, and then maybe spend the last few closer to home and tooling around in an RV to see National Parks!
3. I had the odd rank beer here and there in high school, but my first really bad yuck alcohol was 99 Bananas in college. Yeah, 99 proof alcohol, fake banana flavor- BLECK!
1. What's for dinner tonight? We are going out for dinner. I don't know where yet, since we are on the road to the holiday house and I have no idea what's around. But we are definitely going out.
2. If you had a year off what would you do? Go to India. I'd wait until I'd had the little one, and they were slightly older, and then travel around India for a year.
3. What was your first alcoholic drink (actual drink, not just a taste) and how did that work out? I feel I should point out the the stereotype that Europeans start drinking young is true. I was 11, and it was Bucks Fizz and my mum's christmas party. I had two glasses, and though it's maybe 5%, I was tipsy. It was delicious, though.
1) no clue. I really need to go to store but C is sick so probably going to stay in. Maybe order out Thai??
2). I have taken the year off of work so far staying at home with C , which is awesome. I guess if I could I would travel for a year with C and L but c is probably too young for that.
3) I remember this happened in England when I was 14 on a study abroad program but I can't remember what I drank . I think some sort of hard cider but that doesn't sound like something people drink in England does it? It wasn't beer though. Maybe wine?

I love that you answered these questions in the wrong order. It's like a game.
What's for dinner? Mikes Hard Lemonade
What would you with a year off? Meet up for pizza
What was the first think you drank? Everything and nothing

1. Either salmon with a herb sauce and couscous or chard, white bean, shallot, and garlic quesadilla. Still undecided.
2. Travel around together and spend some time relaxing. Maybe take a bar tending class, ride horses and go to shows, run, have lots of dinner parties.
3. CET's was rum and coke and mine was sex on the beach. Both were during our first year of college. That's where we met. CET made some new friends (she bought the coke and they had the rum) and I ummm......hooked up with my first girl.
CET & CAR - both 30, married Aug, 2013, together 12+ yrs.

1. We had homemade beef with broccoli with white rice. And fresh pineapple for dessert!
2. If I had a year off right now? I'd do all the stuff I wish I did more: cleaning, working out, cooking, travelling. Nothing extravagant, but longer trips to Oregon to see the fam. That sort of thing. If I could save my year until I needed it, I'd use it for maternity leave. I get none, so a year seems pretty amazing.
3. I think I probably had some wine coolers camping while I was in high school...? But I really remember drinking mojitos in Prague my sophomore year in college as my first real drinking experience.

1. What's for dinner tonight? Pizza and salad
2. If you had a year off what would you do? I recently moved to a more self-directed career, which feels like taking time off, and I will be stepping back more as my pregnancy goes on. So maybe surrogacy is what I'm doing with the time off? Also spending more time with family, focusing on my health/self care, and then my work-- but it feels more like a hobby and I can't imagine taking time off from it, ha ha.
3. What was your first alcoholic drink (actual drink, not just a taste) and how did that work out? Sunny D and vodka. Whyyyyyyyy.
