****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
Thank you all!! That is really sweet you all are thinking of us.
Looks like we got 26 mature eggs out of 38 total. We were told that is really good and are excited! The doctor even said because we got so many to watch for signs of ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome just in case. But unlikely.
We got rear ended on the way home but are all fine. C was with us too. Scary.
They are going to call us tomorrow and let us know how many fertilize.
That's a fantastic retrieval! WOW! I hope the fertility report is excellent.
As for the OHSS, you probably know this, but high protein, high salt is the way to go. If possible, L should drink only sports drinks like gatorade (and lots of them) and not water. This is the time for chips, fast food, etc. Even mild OHSS can be quite uncomfortable.
And how scary about being rear ended! I'm so glad you're all okay.
I look forward to your post tomorrow about the fertilization report.

That is a phenomenal number of eggs! Congratulations!
I am so sorry about the car accident - so scary, and what a damper to an exciting morning. Glad you are all doing OK.
As for OHSS, I had a mild-to-moderate case of OHSS with my fresh cycle, and it was very uncomfortable. Due to bloating and swelling I looked about 3 months pregnant when I was about 3 mins pregnant. At any rate, it is totally manageable. Just encourage L to rest, drink fluids and eat lots of protein. It will also help that they are transferring to you and not to her -- so her uterus can settle back down nicely without any added stress!
We ended up with 28 mature eggs and 20 fertilized. L came home sick today. She's ok but definitely sounds like she is having some mild ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome. So thank you all for your input regarding that.
We get our next update from the RE Sunday and are scheduled for ET Tuesday afternoon.

20 is great! Not surprised she is feeling that way after how many eggs they got out. Hope she takes it easy. I do realize this is easier said than done with a toddler.
