I know you ladies do a book club, but would anybody be interested in a book club board? We can do monthly discussions, group read alongside and just general book related topics. Like TN has?

I was a long-time poster over on tN's Book Club. I still stop by occasionally but it's just so so dead now. I'd love one here! I'm actually reading a book right now that I'm dying to dish about with someone.

Whatever you guys want, but I find just a thread when the time comes to be easier to keep track of, and easier for new people to see if they want to join.

For me, the bonus of an entire board was always multiple posts = multiple topics. On tN we would have monthly discussions and then post whenever we wanted to talk about whatever bookish thing we came across. So anyone could jump in anytime without having to wait a month for the next discussion. Just $.02

I never get mine read on time. One of these days I will. I suppose I will just revive the thread when I am done.

I like the idea of a separate board because I'm pretty sure there are two separate book clubs happening at the same time.

Plus a place to talk about all books.

I like the idea of a separate board because it's not just confined to the book club books, it can be a place to discuss any books. That said either way I'd like to be a part of book club.

I'm not trying to replace GKU book club. If we get a book club board you are welcome to do it there, but you don't have to. I did a book club on TTGP for a year (2012) and participated on The Nest Book Club. 

I guess i was was hoping since there are a number of GKU members who read that a place to discuss books in general plus read alongside would be fun.
