How do you other MoMs go to the grocery store or elsewhere with newborn twins? I hate having to rely on someone to go with me to have a second cart or something. I hate to have the double stroller to pack around too but maybe that is the easiest way?

Do any of you wear one and push the other?
ETA: we already have perfectly good single strollers so I've been wondering if people do this. We'll get a double too of course but i just thought of it as another configuration.

I used to do this sometimes for quick errands, but I found it difficult for longer grocery trips. Stooping to get things from lower shelves multiple times with a baby strapped to me was rough on my back.

Yep push double snap n go and pull cart with 3 your old in it. It's not that bad. I'm used to it now at 6 months. There are def times when I wait for DH to be home and use the store as my alone time.
Thanks ladies! I do love my bmb but I am feeling a little tired of the constant complaints of being overwhelmed with 1 newborn with or without other children in the home. I just have to laugh about it. Going to the grocery store with my older two and a newborn would be doable. It is the second newborn that is throwing me for a loop!
I haven't been to the grocery store without help, or with more than just one of my older kids since the twins were born. I just wait until DH is home. Maybe if I didn't have two older ones who would be trying to grab everything in sight I would attempt it. Now that my twins are sitting up well, I have contemplated bringing them and putting them both in the top part (they are still pretty small and could easily fit), but I am scared to do even that!
ETA: However, I have taken them to Bible study, the museum, the park, etc. I just keep them in the stroller for that and they are easy. I just won't shop with all of them.

Two non-walkers is a game changer. I didn't fully appreciate the logistical challenges until I needed to figure them out.
I used the stroller basket when they were in infant seats. I never attempted taking all three when they were that little. I also work FT and the big one is in school/daycare so I never really needed to.

I would rather take both twins grocery shopping than my older DD. I'm not looking forward to the day when they start reaching and asking for stuff. I get so tired of the "Can we get this?" "Can we get that?" "Why not?" I usually go during the day when she's at school.
I go out pretty often and will just use the stroller, with the basket. I haven't needed to use a cart yet but it seems doable! I remember while nannying that my kiddos loved going to the store, so I can understand your older child's need to get out of the house. I take mine out every day, just for my sanity it seems!

I was curious how everyone did it too! My twins are 4 months old and I have not taken them out my own yet. DH always goes with me and I usually wear one and one goes in the cart.

This is basically in a nutshell how I feel life with baby twins is in every way. Not better or worse than a singleton. Not even necessarily twice as hard. But logistically challenging in ways I never considered. My critical thinking skills were put to the test with every new milestone or curveball they threw at me ;-).
Just had to point that out. Good statement carrotcake.
