And I'm sitting at lunch getting my car washed, because anything I want to do I cram into lunch time at work, with no kid, and they are taking forever. Now I won't get to actually eat lunch. I fail

@beckaroo, I hope your LO feels better and you don't get sick too. That is no fun.
designaddiction,I hear you on the nap situation. DS only slept for 1 hour all day Saturday. I was exhausted.
My weekend was alright. We didn't do too much. DS is crawling all over the place and has now started to pull up on anything he can find, which means he then bonks his head on everything when he loses his balance, so I chased him around quite a bit. I'm just sitting at work today, mostly trying to stay awake.

@beckaroo I hope your LO gets better soon and you don't get sick as well.
designaddiction I love cat naps when I get to take them. stinks that your lo is taking them.
spacedcadet hope you get rest soon. I'm not looking forward to chasing my little guy around. They are growing too fast.
@adulruna Hopefully you get paid well for the OT. Sorry you missed out on TJ's milestone. That's happen to me. Keep your head up you are working hard to provide for your lo and that's just as important.
For me Monday just continues the stress. On top of needing to move again, pregnancy symptoms, my car is now acting up. Gotta love hearing your engine make crazy sounds when you slow down.

My monday was super busy! Luckily that makes the work day fly by. When DS goes to bed in a little while I plan to begin a 12 week workout program...yikes!

@beckaroo, I hope your LO gets better. It's sad, tiring and stressful when the fam gets sick. Sending healing vibes!
designaddiction, Catnaps are such a tease. Just when you start relaxing the baby wakes up. BUmmer. Hopefully it means a longer well rested night?
spacedcadet, trying to stay awake too. Your LO is quite the explorer. AT least you lose some calories chasing him around?
@adulruna, Ouch. Hopefully the extra $$$ means a lil treat for yourself. And boo to missing a milestone. I feel you. I was really sad when my Lo rolled from back to front without me. Even though I saw her go from front to back. It's tough. ::hugs::
clearlycrystal, moving sucks, but moving while pregos sounds super stressful. But that also means you do no lifting.
doglover31, Ooo cheering you on across the nets! I hope you love it and feel good!

After lo fever turned into nothing much last week he came down with a cough Saturday night. That turned into cough, sneezing, runny nose, cranky sickness yesterday. So we are just killing time laying around till we go to the Dr. later. I'm beat down between holding him all night and starting to feel crappy myself.
Hope everyone had a better weekend than us!
@beckaroo, so sorry LO is sick, how did you make out at the dr's appt?
I had today off but I'm still sick and it was so rainy and miserable here. I coughed so much yesterday I woke up with awful pain like a pulled muscle on the left side, sucks!
DD continues her crappy sleep antics, wanting to be held constantly but then trying to turn and launch out of my arms and won't be settled by H at night only me, completely exhausted!
I feel like a broken record always telling you ladies this!
I need sleep sooo bad. Traveling screwed up LO's sleep schedule and I'm dying. I wish I had those glasses with the fake eyes so I can sleep. Haha
We are traveling in July and I am so dreading it...did you fly? We are going to the east coast so I am hoping to keep his sleep schedule the same but putting him to bed later and having him get up later. We will see how it works.

Yeah I flew. I traveled internationally on a 12 hour flight to Asia and it wasn't bad at all. We reserved a bassinet for the LO and she slept and was pretty happy. It was actually the other kids on the flight that woke her up. I bought her some new toys and brought a couple of her favorite toys to pass some time also. And then I fed her take off and landing but it didn't really bother her anyways.
The country we went to had a 12 hour time difference so we had to roll with the punches, so we put her to bed at her usual time but in local time. Generally she was ok but she has never slept in the same room as us but did on the trip so the nights were a little hard. She has also never STTN successfully but I'm not sure if it was the time difference but she woke up pretty often and it's been worse since we've got home.
Hopefully your LO does way better than mine since the time difference isn't as big. They do adjust pretty fast. My LO has always had a sleep problem so don't use me as an example. Lol

jt2378, Sorry about the sleep dep. Ugh. It's tough. And I hope you feel better. No sleep and being sick is no good! I hope someone can help while you at least get a nap!
anniebn news like that always makes me so surprised! And sad. And 2 hours is totally doable. LO might just love the new sights and sounds!
Post by spacedcadet on Apr 21, 2015 10:27:45 GMT -5
@adulruna Overtime sucks! Yay, for LO sitting up and I'm glad you got to see it, even if it wasn't the first time.
clearlycrystal Congrats! Deep breaths, it will all work out. I hope your car trouble turns out to be nothing and the moving goes smoothly.
doglover31 Good luck with the new workout routine!
alioop1028 Wow! Sounds like a fun trip. Hopefully, your LO will get back into a good routine quickly. I'm hoping I get a good workout from chasing him around, it will be the only exercise I've gotten in awhile. It seems he has gone from sitting up, to crawling, to trying to walk in the span of about a month. "Slow down, kid."
jt2378 BOO to being sick. I hope you start feeling better soon. The sleeping WILL get better. (Power of positive thinking )
@lildiamondeyes Yeah, I can't imagine dealing with DS AND being pregnant, so you do what you need to do to reduce some of that stress. I'm sure reducing hours will help.
anniebn That sucks for your friend. I have a coworker who is just starting the divorce process and it does certainly put things into perspective.
Thanks so much for all the support and well wishes ladies, I start to feel better around this time everyday but then it slowly declines as the day goes. I usually recover quickly with colds but this one is kicking my ass!
@lildiamondeyes, I'm so glad you made this decision for yourself, I feel like it is well deserved and needed.
@beckaroo, sorry your feeling worse, hope you get some relief soon!
I have no idea how you bring LO's to work, today is my work from home day and it is pretty much impossible, UGH!
Also, all these babies with standing and almost walking, is my LO the only one who still can't sit up without toppling over? LOL
alioop1028 I wish I could convince dh to do Europe this summer. His brother is stationed in Italy. He's terrified of the flight with a screaming baby.
Doooo it! I was really freaked out and had anxiety about it until I went. Even if LO does cry you will do something about it and your LO will most likely calm down. After seeing how certain parents not give a crap and most people not really caring, I felt better that I was at least doing something when she cried and she calmed down.
On rogue jerks commenting, you will find them anywhere, even at the grocery store and those are far and few in between. Most likely you will be traveling with people who understand kids cry and it's part of flying.

@adulruna I so wish I could just will the pounds off!
alioop1028 wow all the way to Asia! That's a long flight. We flew from Florida to Washington back in March. It was exhausting...and DS even did wonderfully on the trip.
@beckaroo DH likes to find workouts on Bodybuilding.com. SO he found a trainer that has a post pregnancy routine. Its pretty easy to begin with, to ease you back into working out. But my legs are killing me just after one day, tonight is Abs....that will be interesting!
