I would really like to be paid for a letterman jacket I sewed patches onto. I finished the damn thing at New Year's. It's almost May. I think I'm going to have to be a bitch over $100... Ugh.
Bitch to myself....quit being so GD clumsy! I've kicked over my skinny computer tower at work twice in the last two weeks so IT has had to come physically replace the hard drive both times. And I keep knocking over my tervis cup spilling ice and water all over my desk. What the hell, get it together! Keep the lid closed and quit kicking over your computer!
I feel like I have arthritis or something in my back and it gets worse when DD sleeps in our bed because I'm all paranoid and can only sleep in one position. And of course, she sleeps in our bed at least part of the night every night. I'm too young for Ben Gay!
Since I work weekends, H had his mom come this weekend so he could "get stuff done." Our house is a mess, so many calls need to be made and the yard is a disaster. Apparently "get stuff done" means folding a couple loads of laundry, cleaning out bottle warmer, getting a haircut and going roller-blading. I have today/tomorrow off, alone with baby and hours of house work ahead. And I'm exhausted!

unlike many of you whose boobs grew during pregnancy and after birth, mine are shrinking exponentially. apparently so is my butt according to DH. so now I look like a flabby prepubescent. on the bright side I'm trying a smaller breast shield and getting more milk today.
Also, I always knew marriage was hard but married with a child is HARD/IMPOSSIBLE/SO MANY PILLOWS THROWN ACROSS THE ROOM.
I distinctly remember saying this one time on TD and a few posters totally brushed it off like "Not for us, we're such an amazing team!" ::hair flip::

Whatever, its freaking hard.
So true...I think H and I do make a good team and balance each other out, but the addition of a little person is a whole new challenge.

I will seriously doubt anyone who says that marriage doesn't take work period. Add a baby in the mix, little to no sleep, someone needing you 24/7, extra chores, sometimes a low libido. Marriage is hard !! I don't care how great of a team or how much you love each other. It is hard !
@kcnumbers My butt shrunk too. I think weight has shifted from my bum to my boobs and stomach. Its weird but I do think my pants fit better.
graybaby YES! My parents are getting better - they watched DS for a few hours this weekend and actually put him down for two naps. MIL on the other hand always complains if DS is sleeping when she comes over. We have to firmly tell her when he needs to sleep.
I forgot my pumping bra at home today so I am having a hard time holding the flanges and typing here at the same time. I am actually proud of how I am managing to coordinate this effort.
WTF work I'm not due to return for 7 months please stop sending emails and calling me to see if I want to come back early because you failed to fill my position!!

This all of this- it's so much harder then I even imagined it could be. I used to consider myself good at communicating with my DH but having the twins has made me rethink that lol. There is just so much stuff all of the time. It's hard- so worth it, but so hard

Thank you for this thread!
+1 for marriage being work. I think you're doing it wrong if it's not really difficult.
Mine is a MIL bitch. I recently sent her pics of LO. Her response on the phone today was "I love them! She looks like {BIL, her preferred son}". Um. No she doesn't look/act like her uncle. Stop imagining similarities that don't exist just bc you wish your other son would have a kid.
DH came down with a stomach virus last evening and was up ALL night puking. I know he has it worse but between him and LO I got maybe 2 hours total of sleep.
ETA LO doesn't have stomach bug, just up for normal MOTN feeding. FX we don't get it too.
If you come to a restaurant on a Friday night and are told the wait is at 45 minutes to sit down, food will be at least another 45 minutes, and you still decide to stay.. Do NOT ask me where your food is or if I remembered to put in your order after 25 minutes. Start a conversation with your partner instead of sitting in silence glaring at me like I'm going to make your food come faster. Ahh the service industry..

Sounds like you waited on my parents last Friday? They always embarrass me when they behave like that. Sorry you have to deal with obnoxious people.
My mil told me "I hope I'm not stepping on any toes but I am not impressed with L's speech therapist, he should be making more progress. (Dh and bil) speech therapist had their speech cleared up in 2 months, he's been in it since September. " First of all, dh and bil just couldn't say their "r" sounds. L is substituting almost every sound for another sound. Second, he has made amazing progress this year, and I was well aware it was going to take time. Third, you are stepping on toes because you don't go to his IEP meetings, or have any idea how any of it works. I think the teacher knows more than you considering she went to school and got a degree and your only experience with it is your two kids very minor issues with the letter R. Ugh.
We went to see my mom yesterday. She gets so excited and loves playing with DS... but doesn't listen when we tell her he needs to take a nap. She doesn't want him to go to sleep while we are visiting. She gets him all worked up and then he gets overtired. He only took a couple catnaps yesterday, which caused him to wake up a lot more than usual last night . Anyone else have obsessed, overexcited grandparents?
+1 So annoying. MIL just doesn't get it! Yesterday lo was fussing and I heard MIL say from another room "She's tired of being held and she loves to play on the blanket. I'll lay her down to play." Um. You don't know my baby at all. Stimulating her more is going to make it worse. Total meltdown ensued. Of course that meant lo was hungry. Ugh. How many times do we have to explain her nap and feeding schedule??

Ugh! Yes. Some people are so ignorant when it comes to how things work in a restaurant. I think if people actually worked in a restaurant for any period of time, then their perspective would change drastically. I definitely don't miss waiting tables for that reason alone.

I think everyone should have to work in a restaurant and work retail once in their life. It will teach you to take a lot of shot and teach you how not to be an asshole.

Oh, after my week (last few weeks) I have some WTFs
WTF DS, why do have to keep getting sick? We've had 3 ER trips and 5 dr visits this month (not including LO's 4 month dr. visit). And the late night ER trips have really thrown off LO's sleeping habits, which leads me to:
WTF LO, why you no sleep? I can't get her down to sleep until 10 pm... and then last night and the night before she's been waking more often and keeps waking when I lay her back in her crib...
And the big one, WTF CEO! Why'd you have to be all shady and greedy. You ruined the company and now there's a ton of good people out of a job, including me.
Eta, ok, so I guess this isn't wtf wednesday... lol oops
Baby's gurgling and wheezing are back. Only went away for about 2 days. It's been 6 1/2 weeks. Now I'm thinking maybe a milk allergy so I have decided to give up all dairy in my diet to see if it helps the lil guy. Sucks! And he's screaming in his crib now. Refuses to nap. Ever!!!! Too early for a glass of wine? Lol

We have this too. I was told it could be related to teething!

Ugh well at least she doesn't think speech therapy is essentially hokum. I'm a SLP and my dad is constantly saying "ah too much fuss! Kids will learn things on their own time". Oh dad....

Really? Is the gurgling constant? My LO always sounds like he has a ton of fluid in his throat and he wheezes constantly. He's been to the doc about 5 times in the last 6 weeks and we are getting no where. Very frustrating. Do you feel teeth coming in?

sigh...Baltimore. That is my vent. Glad my husband's class field trip to the Maryland Science Center happened today and they got out of the city before the violence started. It is so sad to see the destruction. We don't live in the city, but like to visit. I will say I was impressed by the clergy and their efforts to stop the madness.
I agree with marriage being harder after baby. I was really tired after a rough night with the boys and was grouchy so DH says "I think you need a nap." I reply "I don't need a nap, I need help." It takes some nerve to say that when I was up every 2 hours with the boys while you just laid in bed sleeping..
My parents are coming to visit tomorrow for a week. While I'm happy and excited they are coming, I get annoyed by weird things they do when they are here. DH gets annoyed w my dad and it always seems like it ends in drama. Fx that this week goes well. I'd also just like to sleep all week please
Work related: why sales department do you choose to promote something with least capacity in a major chain. We are just digging out to get ahead and you throw a promo in to produce next week. And why vp of sales did you not tell your other half that we will not have the film for one of these items two weeks ago when I brought it to your attention. Also why boss are you just now interested in not having film for this item even though you knew two weeks ago. Btw I am a production planner.
