The kids are already in full force this morning: fighting over toys, pinning each other, getting into things they shouldn't, dragging each other around.
Need more coffee.
DS just begged and begged me to put his action figure on his horse, because he couldn't get him on it. So I did. Apparently I didn't do it right either, because he dissolved in a puddle of, "OHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO," on the floor.
My child napped for a sum total of 1 hour this weekend, and more than half of that was on one of us. Our house is a disaster, and I wanted it to be at least reasonable so that I could finish all the packing for the trip!

Yup.
You should really work on your horse mounting skills

Does she like the baby carrier? It's the only way I can clean these days. Without it she is climbing up on my legs everywhere I go

Do the girls fight over things?
Oh yes. DS is worse about it, stealing their toys or "helping" me with the girls, but the girls do their fair share of thieving and tackling. It's like a free for all in here. DD2 is worse, she is always grabbing DD1's toys or holding them out like, "See this? This is nice," than as DD1 reaches out for it, DD2 will pull it back really quickly, "Nice for ME, I mean."

Why oh why dogs of mine do you choose the moment I am trying to put the baby down as the perfect moment to bark at the innocuous things in our backyard

Lol that sounds cute but I am sure the meltdowns aren't so cute

She doesn't mind, but it's hard for me to get stuff done with her in it. We just either take turns, or do as much as we can while she's trapped in her high chair and eating. We actually were able to eat lunch (probably about 10 minutes) while she played nicely with her toys. I was able to finish before she made her way over to anything dangerous.

The Mother's Room at work (aka glorified supply closet with a table/chair/mini fridge) is shared by 5 ladies on a set daily schedule in 30 min time slots. The mom who is before me ALWAYS runs over 5-10 min into my slot, and in an effort to not disrupt the rest of the schedule, I cut my pump short. I have kept pretty quiet and ignored the occasional mess left in there, but last Thursday I went in and there was a used spoon on the floor, used tissue on the table, and the fridge was left open. I told our admin assistant and she sent out a "gentle reminder" to be on time and respectful of each other as this was a shared space. It still amazes me that adults need reminders to pick up their dirty tissues and shut a fridge.
Bitch: we have that weird pinkish film in the bottom of our shower. We had it at our last place in TX too so I thought it was just following us. Apparently it's super common in recent reno's (our last place) and new construction (our current place). FML. Going to try and kill it again today.
Our home is +100 years and we get that too. I always figured it was something in the water (soft or hard water, I don't know). The last reno in the house was 10 years ago or so.

We just came home from the park and I desperately need to shower since I ran this morning. I managed to carry the infant seat all the way upstairs with DD asleep but she woke up the second I turned the shower on. Now I'm sitting in her room, still un-showered, willing her to go back to sleep in her bed. Don't think it's going to happen.

DH puts DS in the exersaucer in the bathroom with him and puts Planet Earth on the ipad. Only way he can get a shower. Once DS grows out of the exersaucer I don't know what he's going to do.
Yep, that's what I typically do but the jumperoo is all the way downstairrrrrrrrs. First World Problem!
Headed down to get it now since she's "ahhhhh"ing and blowing raspberries at me so obviously not napping.

Yesterday, I was home alone with LO and needed a shower, so when she wouldn't nap, I took a shower. I know she's fine in her crib, but she did scream THE WHOLE TIME. Thankfully, it's hard to hear the baby through the shower and fan in the bathroom. Not my best parenting, but I came out of it clean, and there's always the chance she'll fall asleep...

We had to put the jumparoos away because the twins both started retracting their legs and whine/crying every time we tried to put them in it. They usually calmed down and enjoyed it afterward, but they took up a lot of room and it was ridiculous trying to put them in it. I miss it. Babies, why you no make containment easy on me?! Now, to use the bathroom without worrying about disaster I have to put them in the PNP together and that always results in baby tackles and someone screaming because the other one is jumping on her belly giggling, or kicking the other in the face. One always has a great time, the other not so much! Sometimes it's low key but my trips to the bathroom are like a sprint now- IN AND OUT, HUSTLE! I'd leave them out, but DS is too rough and the girls are too mobile. DD1 is climbing on furniture now. Not even walking, but climbing on the couch? WHY NOT!
+1 on the difficulties in taking a shower. My bitch is that DS has a bad diaper rash he developed last night and I'm ragey about it because I don't like to see him in pain. Diaper changes today are rough. Also my DH told me yesterday that on top of his mom visiting us Mother's Day weekend, his brothers family will be coming sat as well. Which is just stressing me out because I'll get no help with cleaning/preparing for them probably.

Oh, and totally judge my bumper, blanket, and stuffie in there if you must.
It's a Vera Bradley blanket!! Super cute!! With the exception of solid bumpers, Mbug gets a blanket, a blanket square, and has 3 loveys.
You all know I love me some Vera! Amelia actually doesn't sleep with any of that besides the bumper at night. Naps are different, to me, because I'm awake and can check on her. So she gets her blanket and paci for naps. ETA: she doesn't like the paci at night (strange....)

That ALL sucks.
I'm afraid to ask anyone what we're doing for Mothers Day weekend. It typically involves us visiting both of our moms. I'd LOVE to make it a day about our family but NOPE. So I feel ya, lucanjo14.
