lol I saw that yesterday. Luckily, the door bell hasn't been a problem yet. DS will usually only nap on me, but I don't think a doorbell has woken him. I get a ton of packages from Amazon so if I put a note on the door, it would have to be a nice one because I generally like the fedex/ups people. I'm not trying to bash anyone's religion, but we did have a couple of periods when Jehovah's witnesses would come by the house ALL THE TIME, but that's another story. I will not be tolerating that for a third time.
Our front porch was an add on at some point so our doorbell is inside. The only person who rings it is DS1. But I've put notes out not to knock because the dog will freak and wake the baby.
When DH remodeled our house he took out the doorbell and never put in a new one. Pre-baby it drove me crazy cause I wouldn't always hear people knocking...but now it's a whole other story! Bonus points for DH
We disconnected the doorbell too, but the knocking is worse. It's actually the dog's reaction to the knocking that's the problem. The dog has major beef with the ups man. He can hear the squeaky brakes down the block and he starts getting riled up. There's no winning.
