There were A LOT of freebies from amazon this month. I got what I paid for.
Hard as It Gets by Laura Kaye- Good for CR. I like this series. Price of a Kiss by Linda Kage- The plot was, different. To Professor, with Love by Linda Kage- Different take on the student-teacher storyline. It was okay. What I love About You by Rachel Gibson- No. Caught up in Us by Lauren Blakely- 3/5 Second chance romance. Predicable. Hard As You Can by Laura Kaye- Same series as above. 3/5 Her Best Shot by Shannyn Schroeder- meh 2/5 Hard to Hold on to by Laura Kaye- 2/5 short Hard to Come By by Laura Kaye- 3/5 Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid- 2/5 I did not like the MC. The author was going for quirky and endearing, I think, but I just found her annoying. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge- 2/5 So sad about this one. I was looking forward to it for a long time. The writing was good but the book was mainly drama. Teaching the Boss by Mallory Crowe- 3/5 This one was funny I think. I can't remember. Last to Know by Micalea Smeltzer- 3/5 Typical special snowflake girl falls for amazing boy. Tangled by Emma Chase- 1/5 The male in this... he made me ragey. Complete douchey misogynistic asshole. Hero by Samantha Young- 2/5 I usually like her writing but this one didn't do much for me. Cinderella Ate my Daughter- 3/5 Good to get you thinking about some of these issues. It read a little random to me though. Reasonable Doubt by WG Williams- 3/5 Me Before You by Jojo Moyes- 3/5 Tall, Tatted and Tempting by Tammy Falkner - Also weird, and preditable. Here with Me by Heidi McLaughlin - It was meh. The writing style was weird and the plot kind of sucked. Mainly just dramz.
aggiebug how was Hollow City in comparison to the first one? I was slightly disappointed in the first one so I wasn't sure if I should read the next one.
I liked the first one better than the 2nd. It was a pretty good sequel and I felt like it set up for a good 3rd book unlike so many stories that are forcefully stretched into a trilogy. I was just kind of 'meh on the premise this time around.
