I was reading an article talking about how they plan to raise the kids in privacy and give them a normal childhood. I wonder how close to "normal" a royal baby childhood at a 10 bedroom mansion with the queen as a great grandma can get. My FFSC is that I'm fascinated by the royal family and wish I was apart of it.
You know there was a whole team there with a very talented makeup artist. Also, strategically draped blanket over her belly. Plus having a chef prepare all healthy meals so she didn't get too big. And of course, she's naturally skinny so she's got her genes going for her too.

Now that I've experienced it, my thoughts go to how uncomfortable she must be right now. Then I wonder if she's wearing ugly hospital mesh undies, or perhaps some Depends. Or, since she's royalty, maybe she doesn't have such body functions...?

Was thinking the same thing!!! Any blood clots pouring out of her? She looks too good.
I was too excited when I saw this news today. In fact, I've been speaking in a British accent for the better part of the day They just need to TELL US THE NAME ALREADY! lol I I love William & Kate & am also fascinated by the royal family.
I feel sorry for her, so much pressure for just a few hours after giving birth. She is beautiful though. All three times I was a swollen, bleeding, hunched over, waddling mess.

I watched the video of the couple coming out to show the press and as they started going down the stairs I winced for her. She reached out for William's hand and he had it on her back as they went back up. Imagine having to show no weakness like that? She MUST have been sore! Also.. She had her hair blown out beautifully. I wonder how she sat to have her hair done. These crazy little things keep popping into my head.
I have been on Royal baby watch too. I was crazy excited when I saw Kate was admitted to the hospital.
Now, if my one friend and her mom could shut up about when her baby is going to come all will be normal in the world. She and her mom keep whining that the baby's not here yet. Her due date is May 4th (per the doctor) or May 7th (by her charting). I just want to yell at them and tell them to LET THE BABY COOK! She will come when she wants to come. FYI They have been doing this since she was 36ish weeks.
ETA: sorry for the random rant! They kept saying who's going to have her baby first Kate or friend. So Royal baby = friend's baby in my mind.
frenchy816 my mom did the same thing starting in November! I wasn't due til the 30th of December and ended up not having her til January 6th I started to ignore my mother after a while and told her to shut up at one point I was so irritated with her
I was also due Dec 30th and LO didn't come until Jan 6th!
Yes!! This was going to be my next FFFC, totally royal obsessed. My guess is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana or something similar.
WOW!! I should have bet money on this!!! I called it exactly right!
It was actually funny, they announced the name and there was an article talking about how those weren't the names everyone thought most likely. And I was like "really? Because I swear I've aleeady seen this exact combination somewhere." You should have placed money!!
