(But not 50 shades and holy hell how I hated Bella and the sparkly vampire.)
Oh no...I am far from a Twihard, but I LOVED the Twilight books. The movies were so bad, but the books...I should read them again.
Team Jacob, but we all know how that turned out (or maybe you don't, because you're a grownup).
I read them all, but I just did not like them. Plus a friend told me before I read them they were better than Harry Potter. Psssh nothing is better than Harry Potter.

Ahh...I have not read Harry Potter. I'm not opposed to it, but DH has some intense religious opposition to the series for some reason (black magic? idk), so out of respect for this, I probably won't. My DSS is probably the only 14yo on the planet that has never read or seen the HP series.
Ah. Yes I have some friends who also are opposed. I think they are great books but like you said it is important to respect your husband and how he feels about them.

You've finally proved that you are not me!
Things I hated: Bella. I dislike weak heroines. The beginning of the second book where she just shut down (over a boy, no less) lost me entirely. I finished it to give it a chance at redemption, but she continued to be a weenie. The first book was just okay for me. She was a high school girl and mostly acted like it..forgivable, I guess.
Also, the thought of snuggling up to a cold, hard statue (sparkles or no, and I do love sparkles!) was a giant no for me.
The books I read did land me squarely on team Jacob. He's way more my cuppa. He reminded of a boy I never dated, but whom I platonically hold very dear. Best part of the books! (A friend did fill me in on her pregnancy and the binding or whatever they called it.)

Lol. I did enjoy the HP series. I have a friend who geeks out way hard on them. I enjoyed them, watched the movies, then kind of forgot them - not really because they're forgettable, they were great, it's just how I kind of am unless a book is world-view changing for me or really moves me. (Memoirs of a Geisha, Choiring of the Trees, The Power of One..yum.) I think I'll very much enjoy re-reading them to LO someday, though.
I'm a Harry Potter nerd but I'm not ashamed. DH has a saying that if I make a reference to a weird name or word that he's not familiar with, it must be a Harry Potter thing. He's only ever been wrong in that assumption one time (I was talking about Devendra Banhart, which definitely does sound like a HP name).
Anyway, my guilty pleasures are The Simpsons-Tapped Out and eating crappy fast food in secret. I'm currently in a really really bad habit of the latter.

Yes, I love Harry Potter! So does Dh. We have Harry Potter movie weekends way to often for being adults. And I also could not stand Twilight or 50 Shades.
Say Yes to the Dress and other wedding shows... I've been married for almost 4 years and have no reason to be interested in watching them, but I do it anyway!
Peanut butter M&M's and on demand. I recently discovered The Incredible Dr. Pol TV series. I also liked the Twilight book series. Movies...meh. and I'll belatedly say my FFFC- I haven't read the Harry Potter series. I always mean to but seem to get distracted by another book series instead.
Anything with cream cheese frosting, gelato, and bravo reality shows (real housewives, shahs, vanderpump rules, million dollar listing). I also have to add kardashians & PLL!
Pop music, binge watching tv shows via Netflix (currently Gilmore Girls), Oreos, and putting flavored coffee creamer in milk.
Yeah... What about drinking the little cups of flavored coffee creamer? Is that too far? Just asking for, um, a friend. Totally not me.
I usually only do the creamer thing at my in-laws house, my MIL has the large container of vanilla creamer. The little cups lack efficiency, but to each her own.

And shit...I'm so not a grownup.
Funny...I agree with all of your points, actually. But there was something compelling there for me, for some reason. I didn't actually love any of the characters (especially not Bella), but, inexplicably, I loved reading the books!
I really liked Alice, and the books were far better than the movies.

Im Harry Potter OBSESSED!! That's not my guilty pleasure, I just had to let it be known
My guilty pleasure would probably be tween books/movies. I've read the Hunger Games and Divergent series and seen the movies in the theaters of course. I've watched all the twilight films but never read the books. I attempted to read them but I wanted to Bella to throw herself off a bridge.
