Hi ladies! For those of you who don't recognize the name or avatar, it's the former "Getzy" thedump member with the cat avatar.
I've migrated over here because I've been following what's happened "over there" since the initial shit show. I originally hoped it was a hacker (pulling a North Korea) then hoped it was a miscommunication. I've now realized theDump really is fucking stupid and wants to get rid of the "bad apples" while lying about it in the process. Screw that.
I'm so disappointed. Even though I didn't post as frequently as a lot of you have, (super shy and a little insecure) I've always kept up to date. I hate to use the word "lurk" because it sounds so creepy, but I guess you could call it that.
Like I said in my return post last week, you guys have kept me sane when I thought I wasn't doing the right thing or second guessed myself, and I could always reassure myself that I wasn't the only one going through this.
I'm really bummed this place probably won't be as active as FB, and that most of you are there. I originally didn't join due to privacy issues, but now that I read it's a private board and no one can see what's written besides the members, I guess what's holding me back is the fact that I'm not that recognizable. I'm now kicking myself for not posting more on TB- I mean, who thought it would implode on itself like this?
Anyways, sorry for the novel. I'm glad I made the move and can't wait to be more active on here.
Hi! I appreciated the novel. I think it reflects how a lot of us feel. I took the bump for granted, kind of forgot that our entire community was subject to the whims of a few corporate folks. Not sure now what ProBoards will be for us but, a home (even if temporary) is better than our group being completely (and abruptly) disbanded.
