Last night around 4 I started having this horrible pain. i was in tears. My lower abdomen, the inside of my thighs, my hips, and everything in between just hurt really bad. And I felt a burning sensation in my bladder area (which could be from my kidney stone so that part may be unrelated) it was a strong pain that came and got really bad then eased off 3 times. 4:35, 4:42, 4:51. It was only my lower abdomen nothing above belly button. Hubby was sitting over there googling and thinks it is pelvic pain but I just don't know. I don't think it was contractions but as I have never had a living baby so I really don't know. It was excruciating and I was almost ready to go back to the ER. (I went the night before with similar pain on top of kidney stone pain) then it went away and I got super tired and feel asleep. I also noticed my BP was still really high last night. 151/101. (About 2 hours before the pain episode) Which it had constantly been high in the ER the night before. My BP is normally around 116/77 so i know that is not normal for me. Temp was normal. Anyone know what this is? Is it something to worry about? Baby was moving and kicking like normal through it. I want to call my doc but they are all out for lunch till 1 or 2 so in the mean time anyone have any ideas or similar experiences? Thanks.

I think given the stones, it could be any number of things and most definitely worth a call to your OB, which it sounds like you're on top of. Plus, I'd call for the high BP anyway. I've had pelvic discomfort that rises to the level of occasional pain, but it's never been excruciating or radiate down into my thighs. FX you and your doc get it figured out and you get some relief soon. No need for extras on top of the kidney stones!!!

All of this. It's worth calling to see if it's related to the stones at all, but either way just to give your OB a heads up. I have had RLP that was painful but not to the extent of what you are describing. FX it's nothing serious.
Sometimes I have what I assumed were round ligament pains that radiate a little down my thighs but nothing as severe as what you are describing. With everything going on, I'd for sure reach out to the dr.

....Lurking...
I would ask your doctor. That sounds like it could be Braxton Hicks. My contractions felt similar to that. Just because the pain isn't around you belly button, doesn't mean a thing. For both my successful pregnancies, my contractions were in my my back, sides and thighs.
It could also be because of the stones, I'm not familiar with that pain, but given you BP is high anyway I would definitely be getting checked out.

I left a message with the doctor. I have had 18 kidney stones in the past but never had a pain like this. I have been having BH since week 18 but they never were painful. Just felt heavy like a brick in my abdomen. Waiting for a call back (they never answer the phone which is so frustrating). Thanks ladies.
I had my first kidney stone a couple months ago (was not pregnant at the time) and had severe pelvic pain (in addition to flank pain) that sounds like what you're describing. I don't know why I had that pain along with my flank pain, but it went away at the same time my flank pain did (when my stone must have passed).
Hope you get a helpful and non-scary answer from your OB.

Okay got a call back and they are sending me to a urologist (one i saw 2 years ago actually! Lol) and they think everything goes back to the kidney stone. I'm not sure I agree but i guess it could feel different while pregnant. I dunno. Anyway they urologist should call tomorrow to make an appointment. If not i call them.
How are you feeling tonight? I know some people feel contractions in their crotch/thighs so that was something I thought of reading your original post. But since it eased up for the time being, it's likely something else. I hope the urologist can get to the bottom of it!

Put this in wrong thread. Oops: Okay y'all: the earliest I could see the urologist is Tuesday morning at 11:30. (Mountain time if anyone wonders). Hopefully i can make it till then without any more major pain episodes but I have some tylenol 3 If I need it. Thanks for all your concern/support. I'll let you know what they say/do.
