rquinlin I hope everything is ok! jcar I'm constantly telling my cat "no Draco you can't step on the baby. " thenetwork that definitely sounds like a growth spurt ruemorgan have fun at swim lessons!
It's 8am here, and I have already successfully played with A, pumped 4oz, and gotten her back to sleep for her first nap. I'm thinking this deserves coffee.
rquinlin I'm so sorry you had to wait for answers.
Love tit for commiserate, jnow - I'm emotional with every change, too.
Have fun at swim lessons, ruemorgan! I can't wait to take LO. My SIL said she's not taking her LO til he's 6 mos because of chlorine - I'd never heard that and still have plans to do so. Is that real?
Good news: I NIP yesterday! Had lunch with ladies from work and LO was a peach. Was nervous to do so but a coworker at the table helped me with logistics. It was awesome.
Bad news: DH is super sick. Came home from work yesterday with what we thought was sinus trouble. He takes the late morning shift with LO (6-10am) so I can get sleep after all the MOTN feedings and apparently while I slept he started vomiting at both ends during an epic spitup by LO. Somehow he managed all that without waking me - I'm super impressed and also feel horrible for him. Should he keep his distance from LO today? Seems logistically difficult. I mean, what if I were sick and nursing? I have a freelance work meeting today so he has to watch him. Ugh. Poor guy.
kcbizme - lol. Glad the tape works. I use a hands free bra with one boob out in LO's mouth and the other in it attached to the pump. Tape would however be nice in that I would get the added bonus of boob hair removal!
meowkitten - awwww. She is so cute! What a happy girl!
mrsh288 - I hope story time goes well. Sounds fun!
pearsforpoops - that cake sounds like heaven. Now I'm craving something sweet and yummy for breakfast. I have Hershey's syrup and I'm debating if it would go well on top of my oatmeal.
TheTuna15 - ha ha! My LO also makes some pretty entertaining poop and fart faces.
shanniegal - hugs. We all know that our LO's were worth it, but it's still ok to be sad about our PP bodies.
saltyfins - after my night last night, I'm going with mmmm nice milk dispenser.
babys2015 - wish I had spit up answers. I am kind of convinced there is no amount of burping I can do to prevent it. But in my scenario I think burping helps to lessen how much comes up and LO's discomfort.
AFM, LO is passed out on me and I'm so envious. He was up nursing a ton last night. Then he had a major bout of spitting up and coughing that lasted over an hour. My sleep tracker says I got 3 hours. I feel like I should be thankful I got any at all. Blarg.
babys2015 F is the same way. I never really burp him anymore for the same reason. His belly is sensitive to pressure so if we hold him just the right (or really, wrong) way he will spit up after eating. He doesn't seem to fuss without an official 'burping' session so I let him be.
Now I know he's getting air while eating as I can hear it sometimes. But I'm pretty sure it comes out the other end.
LollyTee - lovetit for NIP. I hope your H feels better soon! I'd have him wash his hands constantly while watching LO. At the same time, it's hard not to spread germs amongst everyone living in the same household.
LollyTee, My pedi said the absolute best thing to do for the LO is to keep nursing if anyone in the house gets sick. She said if something is contagious, usually the bf baby is the only one in the house that doesn't get ill. I believe you pass on antibodies to anything you get sick with, through breastmilk to the LO. I hope your DH feels better soon, and that it's not contagious though!
LollyTee Keep nursing, have H wash his hands regularly and avoid kissing or cuddling baby too much. We had a cold pass through our house and we managed to avoid it passing from our oldest to the baby.
Koda We've had a few minor quakes this past week too. Where do you live?
bluebell0315 Hope the rest of your day goes a lot smoother.
LollyTee all the swim schools around here start at two or three months of age, I feel if a child wasn't allowed to be in chlorine there wouldnt be swim classes that early. Im just gonna give him a bath after every class and obviously keep his head away from the water so he doesnt drink any pool water. If he does breaks out from the chlorine ill just push back the lessons until hes older. I dont consider chlorine enough of a risk to avoid it.
shanniegal big hugs! If you need to vent, dont apologize. You overcame an ED and the best thing you could do is talk about it. Id never want you to fall back into that hole.

LollyTee Our pedi okay'ed the pool for both girls at their two month appointment. She said not to keep them in the water for too long and to rinse them off right after. Maybe it's just personal preference for your SIL.
starsailor26 - I'm in the SF Bay Area. I know I should be used to quakes but they scare the pants off me every time. DH is a native Californian and thinks I'm a big wuss.
I got four hours of broken sleep last night. My husband decided to wake me up at 2:30am because he wasn't feeling well. Awesome, I'm not sure what he wanted me to do about it. I then couldn't fall back asleep, and then of course the baby woke up.
I'm also watching my friends 18 month old today. Should be interesting.
crystaltrues that sounds like our house. DH just cleaned our dishwasher using the same method and I could tell a difference. Hope it works for you guys!
I haven't opened the dishwasher yet, now you have me excited that it worked.

I figured it was somewhere in CA. I've lived in So Cal my whole life and had gotten used to it but now with kids I do get a little scared. I'm definitely worried about the next big one here though.

The one we had the other day reminds me a big one is near and I too am worried.

Today my mom and I are going to attempt to have a day like we used to with R. We are going to my pp apt (hiiiii saltyfins ), hobby lobby, target and panera for lunch. Or at least that is the plan. We need to leave in 15 min (I say 15 min even though we have 30 to make sure we get out the door in time. By time we get to the car and both kids in their seats it is usually 10 to 15 min from when we put our shoes on) and I still need at least some of my face and a shirt. I was half way getting dressed and A decided he needed to eat NOW. Hopefully he'll chill out now while I finish. I also need to get R dressed and do her hair.
Wish me luck!
GL to you mamas going back to work monday thenetwork and I can't remember who else. I am thinking of you. Most of our nights are like yours- and I'm so tired I can't even think straight. I sure hope the next few days go more smoothly for you both.

malvo, the Walmart safety first one sucks, FYI. Very slow. shanniegal lots of hugs your way. crystaltrues, it's the little things right? I hope it worked well for you. I don't have a dishwasher, I miss it terribly. LollyTee th love tit was for NIP! Kudos so sorry your H is sick, but what TheTuna15 said about antibodies is true. Even 3 years later, if we get a cold, DD1 seems to get it less and recover more quickly.
Add me to team no sleep. I made a huge post about it on parenting, but basically I got 2:5 hours roughly and it was DD1s fault mostly. My H worked overnight last night so I'm not seeing much chance that I'll be having a nap. And his grandma is coming by (love her, so that's mostly a good thing, except I'm trying to clean up before she gets here and I'm really too tired).
Post and run, but I wanted to update y'all. I know I'm always worrying waiting for updates. It looks like GER and she's being put on Zantac. I'll post later with more details. Thank y'all for all your support and T&Ps!

Wtf. My neighbor is playing really loud mariachi music in his front yard. Cinco de Mayo was yesterday, AND the whole street does not want to hear your music this morning. My windows aren't even open.
