Has anyone tried using the Puddle Jumper life vest/floatie with their LO yet this year? We are going to a hotel pool this weekend and I am thinking about getting one. Obviously I'm not going to let DD just swim on her own, we will be right with her but I am thinking she will hate her raft from last year. I don't see an age , just weight recommendation (30, we are 29ish). Mixed reviews online for using with an 18 month old
I have them for both my kids, but I don't think DD is big enough for hers at approx. 25 lb. and afraid of the pool. DS used one last summer at age 3, but he thought it was uncomfortable and wouldn't go past the steps/shallowest part of the pool, even with an adult holding him. If your kid meets the size requirements, I'd give it a shot as long as you'll be within arms reach at all times. It isn't like $20 is going to break your bank if you find that it doesn't work out this season, and you can save it for next season to try again. I got ours last year at Aldi for $12 each.

I thought about it since we have a pool. I don't think I will though. After swim lessons last year, she hated her raft and wanted us to help her swim. I imagine it'll be the same.
I also want to say our swim instructor said something about those but I can't recall what.
We ended up buying the Puddle Jumper - it's a coast guard approved life jacket ( incase we ever find ourselves in a boat lol) and I know she can use it as she grows. She wore it for about 15 mins and I thought it worked well but then she wanted it off and just swam in the pool with one of us holding her. So if your child is like mine I wouldn't even stress over all the different options lol

I'm late to this party but we have one for our older son. He loves it. And we will be getting one for daughter for swimming this summer as well. They last more than one season for us (I believe this will even be the third season for his).
