WTF coworker. You come in at 9:30, take an hour and a half lunch break, leave at 5 two days a week but then complain about "how late you have to work" the other three days. You don't even work 40 hours a week! Our boss is kind of a pushover as long as work is getting done. I'm just not the kind of person who can take advantage of it, but my other coworkers are. I don't know if this WTF is towards coworker or maybe it should be towards me for not being able to relax.
I like to read the obituaries. Today there was a 6 month old, 15 year old, 18 year old, 25 year old, 33 year old, two 39 year olds (one of which has 8 weeks old twins), and a 45 year old. WTF world. They're all too young.
jnnfrrose6, I used to read them when we got the physical newspaper. I'm glad I don't anymore, because that's just way too sad.
WTF eyes? Why are you STILL blurry with contacts in? This has been ongoing since February and I'm not sure it can be pollen like my eye doctor said for this long. No amount of eye drops or lens cleaning is helping. I'm going to call my eye doctor again today.

This is a little morbid of you. Just saying.
Worst I've seen (previous occupational hazard) was a teenage boy who got hit by a car on his way home from school and a woman who's husband went missing on a snorkeling excursion while they were on vacation.
Had to speak to the Mom of the dead boy on several occasions. It was heartbreaking.
The 45 year old dies from injuries sustained in a bicycle accident. Awful. The 25 year old in a car accident and the 15 year old from sickl cell anemia. The rest were just "unexpected." We get the paper at work, so I read them on my lunch break. I find it fascinating all the different ways to say someone died (they passes, they went to be with their eternal Lord, they entered the gates of heaven, etc...). Also, the life stories of some of these people are incredible.
In a town just about 20 minutes from where I live, a mom ran over her 5 year son with her truck yesterday and he died. He was riding his scooter in their driveway and she decided to move her truck to give him more room, and she thought it would be safer for him. As she pulled out of the driveway and parked her car along the road, he followed her out on his scooter and she hit him. HEARTBREAKING! I just can't imagine what must be going through her mind and how she is feeling. So, so sad.
WTF crazy people - that BSC girl I was talking about the other day apparently hit a lady Friday night. The women's husband had to take her off life support and she died.
So far she isn't being charged with anything they are saying she was not "impaired or distracted" and the woman was not in a crosswalk and didn't yield to traffic. However I know that girl drives with one hand on the wheel and with her phone in the other hand.
She told her ex husband that she didn't hit the lady that she is covering for her bf and that she wasn't even there when it happened, but I don't buy it. The woman's husband was there when it happened. I'm sure someone would have noticed another car coming up and them being like no it was me who hit her. And that isn't something you just cover for someone else. Its not like it was some minor accident. www.news4jax.com/news/police-driver-who-hit-pedestrian-not-impaired-distracted/32793880
@iheartmyshiba It's actually been a year. All hell broke loose at the time we found out I was pregnant. I'm sure he does, but I don't hear about it. Apparently she still sending snapchats to some of my friends and their friends who have all blocked her on everything else.
She is still currently doing so. I feel like if I just killed someone snapchatting wouldn't be on my to do list.
mary1217, OMG that's terrible and heartbreaking! I hope they throw the book at her. I had a college friend who was struck and killed by a drunk driver, and he walked away scot free. I still miss that friend to this day.
They took her heart monitor readings and folded them up and put them into a glass vial for her kids, saying it's her heart in a bottle. Something, her sister said, the kids will remember forever.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like they are doing anything to her. I don't even think she got a ticket (if she did it hasn't hit the clerk's website yet)
