I got new jewelry... well kind of Accupuncture related

I changed accupuncturists because my old one moved on and they discontinued lunch hours.  I really like the new guy and feel pretty confident in his abilities.

Today he did something different- he added beads in my ears- 2 of them.  I'm supposed to press them at least 5 times a day for 2-3 seconds.  They're to help the kidney meridian and uterus. He'll change to the other ear on the next visit. 

Anyone else have these?  I just thought it was kind of cool and love the idea that I can do something else to "help" between treatments. No extra charge or anything.  Wondering if anyone who has had them saw any change or noticed they helped?

I've never done acupuncture so please forgive me. Where do these beads go? Are they just hanging out inside your ear? Are they attached to studs like earrings? I'm so lost.

Also, I hadn't realized acupuncture could assist in fertility. The things I learn around here.

summergirl1211, My first group specialized in fertility acupuncture. My RE group actually works with a specific acupuncturist but he's not convenient for me. They take an "east meets west" approach that has been written up in some local magazines.

The beads are little tiny and they are in like an adhesive circle that he placed in just the right spot in my ear (like around the outside where people pierce not actually in the canal).

vh2014 - I love the ear beads. My acupuncturist puts them in every week. I think they help my anxiety too!

I have no idea if they are doing anything since they are the uterus and kidney meridian points he's working on... but the sticky didn't come off and they don't hurt and those are the 2 downsides I'd been told about. FX it does something good.

If nothing else it's really given me a litle "security blanket" to press on to make me feel like I'm doing something.
