We have our six month appointment tomorrow but have done the vitamin D drops since one month. I put it in his morning bottle (expressed breast milk bc I'm working ) and now mix it with his oatmeal at night on weekends since he is BFing when I'm home). Will she take it in food?
We were doing polyvisol, but it's super expensive, and I always forgot to give it, so I switched to the one-drop concentrated Vitamin D drops, and pedi said iron should come from eating cereal daily.
Are you formula feeding? Formula is fortified with iron as well. Polyvisol tastes nasty because of the iron in it. I exclusively BF and only give the vitamin d drops - LO has been on several course of antibiotics for recurring ear infections and HATEs syringes so there's no way we would be able to give him anything from a dropper daily. Poor thing threw up yesterday after we gave him Tylenol because he had a fever.
She's BF. I was confused about the polyvisol so I'm glad you chimed in. Most things I agree with my pedi about but she has some weird breastfeeding ideas that I don't always agree with.
