Let's go ladies. This is the place you can talk about all the craziness that comes with the dreaded two week wait. Phantom symptoms, implantation dips and possible spotting, what you are doing to make the time fly by, and much much more. Post as often or as little as you want. We are here for you. Chart stalks available upon request or if there is a link, we may look just to pass the time or out of curiosity. Gifs are also welcome.
GTKY: what's your favorite summertime sipper (alcoholic or not)? If it's something you mix up, include recipe, too, please!

Hello! I'm 8dpo had a nice but busy weekend. I'm having very random and strong cramps, have been for a two days now. I'm not temping during the 2ww not planning on testing, but if no af next Monday I will.

@kellbell fx for you!
I *think* I'm 10 DPO but no CH on FF so not sure. Temp is down a bit today and I usually get AF around 10-12 dpo so I'm guessing she's on her way. If she's not here by Wed I may test.
If she comes, then it's off to do all the RE tests. Joy.
My favorite drink is hard BC it's very mood dependent...but I have a super special secret sangria recipe I'll share here bc I'm feeling share-y
Sangria Red wine (cheap is best so it gets the flavors of the fruit...don't laugh, I use Carlo di Rossi burgundy, yes the kind in a jug) a Rioja or Tempranillo works well, too. 1/4-1/2 c white rum 1/4 c blackberry or apricot brandy Fruit, cut/sliced: any mix of apples, citrus fruits, grapes (Sugar is optional, don't overdo it if you do use any, 1/4 c or so at most) Mix and let sit overnight, stirring occ. Right before serving, add Fresca to taste (if you don't want soda, sparkling water works too, might want some sugar if you go that route, or mix in a bit of fruit juice) Serve over ice with the fruit. Yum!

@kellbell FX! wannabmama FX that AF shows her face so you can get started with the RE... or she doesn't and this is your month!
I'm not technically in the 2WW - but will be as of Thursday when I go in for my embryo transfer! I'm bouncing back and forth between "this is totally going to work" to "everything has gone way too smooth up to this point, what if it doesn't work??" It's been a long time since I've been in the TWW... I'm going to be EXTRA crazy this time for sure!

meh........ This month I O'd 4 days earlier than last month and if my LP is what i think it is (i really only started charting last month that means my cycle is going to be shorter that usual this month so that tree me way off........we only BD once in our FW.....seem sot be the norm for us since burning the bench. Never gonna get KU at this rate. Doesn't put os out of the running but unlikely!

URMySunshine77 sorry you're feeling out, I'm 11DPO today too and have no symptoms except yesterday cramps so pretty sure I'm out too. My temp went up a bit today but not reading too much into it. As they say you're not out til you're out so fx you get a nice surprise!

Oh Hi! Really wasn't expecting to be posting here, but H decided he was cool with 'seeing what happens' and NTNP. It was kinda of a surprise, and I'm not sure what changed his mind, but his change of heart coincided with my FW, so fingers crossed.
FF says I Oed on the 9th, but my high temp on the 10th was after a bad night of sleep and a few glasses of wine, so I think I actually Oed on the 10th. So I'm 2-3 DPO and feeling hopeful. So, nothing to do now but wait it out with you ladies, if you'll have me.
My fav drink is so subjective, I love good wines at anytime (dry not sweet, and for the love of all that is holy keep the oak away from my chardonnay) or a moscow mule in the summer. But as far as a ZOMG can't live without it drink- Coffee, black. Its my life blood.

FX for you @kellbell. Good for you for not temping. I find it's kinda driving me nuts! wannabmama I hope you don't have to do the RE thing and that this is your month! That sangria sounds super yummy! If I don't get a BFP this month I think I'll be trying that out! luvmyponies good luck on the transfer tomorrow! That is so exciting and I hope all goes perfectly! KirstenAlecia it only takes one time! URMySunshine77 I'm sorry you are feeling out, but I truly hope that's not the case. FX especially since you may not have a shot next month. lennonkdc how great that H turned around and just in time too! Good luck!
As for me, I'm 7 DPO and the days couldn't be dragging any slower. We had decent timing this month, which is good. I think I'm honestly more scared of getting a BFP and then losing it since that happened to me my first try when we TTC #1. I guess I feel like that is just inevitable this time too.
GTKY: My favorite summertime sipper depends on the day! Those moscow mules go down so easy and I love a good skinnygirl margarita with lots of lime (and a side of chips & guac!) or even a summer shandy. Nothing too heavy because it gets way to scorching hot here for that.
Good luck ladies! I sure hope to see some BFP's soon!

URMySunshine77, I agree with others. Until AF shows up you aren't out! My one successful BFP came after absolutely no symptoms.
scorpioscuba, I totally get the feeling of almost not wanting a BFP because of the fact that you could then lose the pregnancy. I had the exact same reaction to my BFP for my DD. It was the first BPF after my loss and I was terrified.
Post by wannabmama on May 12, 2015 11:38:38 GMT -5
lennonkdc I lol'ed at the oak Chardonnay comment, I totally agree, ick! My bff loves oaky chard and we always jokingly fight about it! Yay for being on at least the NTNP boat and just in time!
luvmyponies can't wait for an update on your transfer!
scorpioscuba I'm obsessed with shandies right now. Yummmm!

The question of drinks got me thinking- Where do you ladies stand on "drink till its pink"? I'm going to be enjoying a few cocktails this weekend, since its finally patio drinking weather here; but I was wondering what you ladies thought or were doing...

I'm a drink til it's pink person. I'm a pretty frequent social drinker with a ton of CBC friends or people with much older children and am part of a work culture with a decent amount of happy hour-ing and schmoozing. I've cut waaaay back, but gonna enjoy a cocktail here and there while I can!

scorpioscuba you are absolutely right it does only take one time and I REALLY do know that being that our last BFP in October was the result of only one time IN THE WHOLE MONTH! lol We were sick or he was traveling....totally unexpected

Ditto this. I don't drink a ton, but I do enjoy 1-2 glasses of wine several nights per week. I will continue that until I get a BFP.

Came in for the sangria recipe.
But for realz, I just stopped in to check on you ladies.
@kellbell Good luck!
wannabmama Thanks for the recipe! I love sangria, but I have no patience. I always want to make it, but then I realize it has to sit. I. Want. It. Now.
luvmyponies Multiple fingers crossed for your transfer!
@ KirstenAlecia Sorry this month has been a little wonky. But you’re not out until you’re out. So good luck to you as well.
URMySunshine77 Sorry you’re feeling out, but I’m hoping you’re still in.
lennonkdc I’m a dry wine drinker as well. Most of my friends like the sweet stuff. I just enjoy my own bottle. My normal rule of thumb is to drink ’till it’s pink. I do modify that if I do medicated cycles and IUI. I’m sure it doesn’t make that much of a difference, but I guess I feel if we’re shelling out all this money, ceasing the drinking is the least I can do.
scorpioscuba It’s definitely hard to stay positive after having dealt with a loss. I hope your mind gets put as ease. Good luck!

welp FF seems to have sobered up and moved my cross hairs to Monday (CD 14), so we really could not have had better timing. Thats not really helping me keep calm about all of this, but thank goodness I've got you ladies to distract me
I know it sounds weird to say, but as much as I am hopeful for a BFP, I feel really guilty about the thought of getting one. I know so many people both on TCF and IRL who have tried for years to get there, I can't help but feel sheepish about the whole thing. Has anyone else felt this way?

CD1 ovahurrrrrr. Blah. Of course it's 1 day later than I was expecting so I got one whole day of...maybe?? Could we?? Then of course POAS this am which brought AF on within hours. That rascally bitch. Now I have to get blood work and HSG done, boo. But I can have some cocktails at events coming up so yaaaay.

wannabmama AF has such an uncanny ability to show up right after you POAS. I think that's part of the reason I'm going beta or bust with IVF.
zombiesquad Thanks for asking! Everything went great! We transferred one, and had five to freeze, plus two more that might make it to freeze if they grow a bit more over the next day or so. Of course now that I'm officially in the 2WW (my first beta is May 24) I'm losing my mind. I'm bouncing back and forth between, yes, this definitely going to work... to, oh no there are so many things that can go wrong, it's never going to work. I have no idea how I'm going to survive 10 days!!
