We have the first years infant to toddler tub with sling. We use that in our kitchen sink. Even though he splashes around a bunch and makes a mess, we feel more comfortable since LO is extra squirmy. We add a plastic book and some rubber duckies.
We use SummerInfant bathtub. My LO is already outgrowing it and I'll have to look into some bath seats maybe. I liked that I didn't have to get in a bath to give him one, but pretty soon we'll have to start and I think I'll just hold him and wash him. My boy is growing so fast I cant keep up.
We use a regular baby bathtub now but started with the same one as you until she got too long and was sliding down. Was $17 at target, I think its summer infant brand and its working out so far. We put a towel down in it so its not slippery and she's trying to sit up in it lately so until she can sit unassisted we'll keep using it. I tried finding the exact picture but all of them show the mesh infant sling thing but we dont use it. So here's a generic pic
Eta: we use it in the big tub and fill the big tube with about 4" water (even though it says not to) the drain is flush with the bottom of the tub so it can't drain anyways

We have the same mesh one as you. I put it in sideways and sit on the side of the tub with my feet on either side of him. He puts his feet on the side of the tub and just splashes and loves it. I would like to get in with him but just haven't yet. I let him play until he pees usually.
DD is outgrowing our bath seat as well, but isn't ready to sit independently. I've thought about getting in with her. I also might just get those foam things you can put in the bottom of the tub and let baby lay on (I know Babies R Us has them, I think it's in the shape of a penguin or something). She's really strong and wiggly though so that might not be a good idea... I'll be curious what everyone else is doing!

We have a regular baby bathtub (the whale one from BBB) for now, but I have recently started using it in the bathtub so I can fill it more and he can splash more. However, my next one, as soon as he can sit, will be the blow up ducky one so he is in a contained area, but can still play and sit and enjoy himself.
We have an inflatable rubber duck tub. DS sits up in it and plays with a bath toy. His baths are still pretty short so he doesn't need much entertainment.
I put a folded towel on the floor of the full size tub and lay LO down with her head and shoulders on the towel. Keeps her face out of the water and she can splash away all she likes. She's too long for the baby bathtub... she just plants her feet against the end and pushes away from it. All the time.
My son just did this for the first time. He almost pushed himself off the sling. The bad thing is I tried to put him without the sling and slid everywhere. Ugh
I use a baby bathtub right now, but the boys are starting to push up with their legs and get there butts off the seat and slide down into the bigger part. I have to keep one hand on them so they can't slide down. So it looks like I will be looking for a new way to bathe them soon.
I use a baby bathtub currently and every now and then get in the big tub with her. However she keeps pushing herself off the seat and into the water so I'm looking for a new way to bathe as well. So, no help- but you are not alone at least .
At first it was because we didn't have room for a baby bathtub, but then I grew to love the convenience of it. When they're tiny, it can go in the sink. And then when they get a little bigger, it's perfect for letting them kick and squirm. Plus it dries super fast and you can throw it the washing machine.
We skipped the baby tub from birth. Just used the kitchen sink then once she was too long, we just lay her in an inch or two of water in the big tub. She loves it and splashes all over.

A penguin you say?? Hmm may have to check this out
I've always just bathed them on their backs in the big tub. They can flail their arms and legs and splash around. Now I sit them with a hand on their back so they can splash with their hands, and then lay them down when I need to actually wash them .
I have the 4Moms tub and just noticed today LO has started to kick and splash. He JUST fits this tub and baths are pretty short for now. I do want to try the duck tub or a laundry basket now that he is sitting up on his own.
